Anyone else miffed that you get downed once and have to repair your items like every 5 min’s (WvW etc).

I’d love to see this removed from the game or changed to reflect the cost in a cheaper manner. Realistically, its cheaper in some cases to just buy new gear then spending the silver to repair it.

Anyone agree or disagree on this matter ?

Just don’t “DIE”, Being downed doesn’t damage your gear…. I do not think this is a problem.

Repair costs make sense in PvE. Unfortunately with the current setup of the WvW map, those are PvE maps (seriously don’t ask me why) and therefore repair costs are needed. Otherwise one could just PvE there all day and never have to worry about repair costs.

Instead of suggesting removal of PvE costs, suggest a rework of the WvW maps.

repair does seam somewhat prohibitive, one death is 2 renown hearts worth of silver at level 70 for instance, and then you add in travel and so on…..

You don’t seem to account for income from loot and dynamic events.

The repair costs in WvW are lowering my team’s morale. Northern Shiverpeaks usually is outmanned to a point where we lose more money from repair costs than gain from capturing bases.

Where are you doing renown hearts that it costs two to repair a single piece of armor at level 70?

I’m 74, and one piece of armor costs ~1.5s to repair. I just did a level 75 renown heart (Frostgorge Sound) that gave me 3.25s. Not to mention the money from selling loot and the like that you make.

Repair costs are pricey, but they aren’t that bad.

Repair in WvW probably doesn’t make sense. In PvE, it really only happens to me when I’m playing outside my current level. No one to blame but me.

Why? Stand inside a base and do nothing → win event
Walk aside a caravan and shoot some animals → win event

Thats money galore, isn’t it?
