Just tested this with my character, Male human at max height wielding a Twilight, and my friend, Male human same height wielding an Eternity. The blade of an eternity is much longer than that of a twilight. I was just curious to know if this was a known fact? or does it have something to do with client-side settings?

Here’s my proof. Note that we are both Human Males, max height. Also, this is only the case with this particular player.

So there you have it, I’m not crazy.

No they’re is no size difference. most likely your perspective towards another account you are seeing.

We stood in the exact same spot, had our blades drawn, and we both saw the size difference.

i own both. i equipped both. same size, perspective.

I just tested it with someone else, yeah they’re the same size.

Here’s the thing though, when i made this thread, they were actually different in length. It was daytime, and so his eternity had the look of a sunrise. The contrast between his daylight eternity and my twilight were unmistakable. In the comparison, standing on top of eachother, his blade reached out longer than mine did. Wasn’t a matter of perspective, as my twilight actually was a quarter shorter than his eternity. Ofc my word means nothing without proof, wish i took an ss. Regardless, it’s not longer occuring.

Can’t you take a picture of it? Also you can go to a dungeon to change day/night effects. I think HOTW and CM are day time.

Pictures from wiki. One is Eternity and one is Twilight. They show to be the same size.

I feel OP has answered their own question.. Asking if eternity is longer than twilight yet states it is when comparing with their friend but providing no pics for the people on the forums to draw to a conclusion.

Must’ve been that one time thing. I can guarantee you there’s no difference.

Also.. Are you wearing an outfit? There had been some issues with certain outfits and certain races/gender where the outfit changed where the weapon was being equppied on the back. I haven’t checked on that in a long time tho so maybe they fixed it. I know male slyvari for certain had issues and maybe the male humans.

yes, yes I know how bad it looks. I kind of regret having made this thread because of my lack of evidence. I assure you the difference was night and day. (literally, twlight on sunrise lel) In any case, it’s no longer occurring, I can’t reproduce it.

Aha! A clue!

I wasnt wearing an outfit, but my friend was! he was wearing the new Exemplar outfit.
Could it be that the outfit is having effects on his sword?

If you were stacking and looking from the back, there had been an issue where weapons were placed higher on the back when wearing an outfit. I don’t know that the length itself was different tho, just that it was placed at a different spot.

Stood stacked on the same spot, swords drawn. Hilts and handles were exactly in the same position, same size. The only size difference was in the actual blades themselves, where his blade literally reached out farther than my twilight by a quarter of the blades original length. (lol)

Also don’t forget that the weapon size is dependent on your own size (or at the very least your race).

Eternity has also a longer hilt due to an additional effect, doesn’kitten

Just updated the OP, now you can all bare witness.

It may have something to do with body type/physique.

Pauldrons vary wildly depending on the body type chosen….. there might be a similar effect with weapons as well.

It makes sense that the pauldrons would be larger to better fit broader torso’s, but i dont see how that could (or should) effect the length of a greatsword
