It’s on you to stay alive, but 100 nades is a great damage bar. You can easily throw in Elixir Gun and have some decent AoE condition removal and healing. The 1,500 range grenades are EXTREMELY useful.

Loving 100nades. It’s hard to stay alive, but instant killing stupid thieves is just too great to pass up. Elixir S is an amazing utility in sPvP and tPvP. Never worry about stomping again.

100nades can easily spike down some siege at the cost of your life. Throwing down two Super Elixirs while specced for healing will keep those flame ram guys up pretty easily. Not to mention we’re probably the best class for keeping people off the walls and we even have a skill that can yank them right off (in tool kit)

Damage is low at best, do not want to play Tank Cat or Grenade spam, my class was given pistols and Rifles for a reason, i’d like to use them.
Also feel Elixirs are somewhat lackluster and well as mostly pointless..Team play in this class is very much under achieved, with Elixir gun being rather ineffective..
Flame thrower and other kits are not working.

Rangers are quite “ok” in PvE but have very limited AoE capabilities, in wvw scenarios its another matter entirely being completely limited in what they can do, other classes thoroughly wipe them in damage, defense and team usefulness.
Pets are incredibly useless in high level PvE and pretty much all PvP, also so many Pets are just not working correctly and are quite lackluster, that many don’t ever use them..
Traps are too weak for PvP and too small, Spirits are down right useless and need bigger team play applications.

Sorry dude, this is a thread to rate the class by a players’ playing experience, imo, these classes are quite balanced at lv80 with exotic, and therefore i made this rating, you are fine to make your own rating, but stop bugging others’ opinion.

I’m getting really sick of the ranger hate. Especially these survivability ratings. Really? A 5 in solo and 3 in dungeons? You have a LITERAL MEAT SHIELD that takes damage for you. Your pet dying? Switch him out. The recharge on switching living pets is very low. Honestly now, I don’t get this.
People need to trait beastmastery and add some toughness into their builds and actually switch their pets before they die.
I seriously do not understand what this is all about.
And for SPvP? Rangers do just fine. Grab a sword/torch and two bird pets and melt a few faces.

A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
