Instead of an annoying inactivity timer which penalizes players heavily (for example, you could be fighting the wyvern in the Canopy and die in the middle of lots of fire, where no one can possibly res you, and you don’t get any rewards because it times out), make it like this:

-There will be no inactivity timer
-When you participate in a main event, you will get a specific “Tracked” buff. For example, “Pact Encampment Tracked Buff”.
-You can only obtain rewards from the outpost’s event when you have its buff.
-If you participate in another outpost’s event, the new outpost’s buff will replace the old outpost’s buff. For example, if you participate in Jaka Itzel events while you already have Pact Encampment buff, the Jaka Itzel Tracked Buff will replace the Pact Encampment Tracked buff, and you don’t get rewards from the Pact Encampment event anymore.
-The buff expires once you receive the event reward.

-Side events like salvaging parts from wreckages do not count for this, so players can freely contribute to them without having to spend an eternity to complete them solo just for the small reward.

This allows players to participate in events freely without being heavily stressed out.
