Guild Wars 2

So…I started playing GW2 the first day of pre-release. Since that day all I’ve heard is people complaining about their class being underpowered. It hasn’t stopped since! Any time I go into any of the class forums, everyone is complaining about how their class sucks compared to insert class here. The funny thing is, though, that in that classes forums, they’re saying that they are the ones underpowered compared to that class. Does everyone just hate their classes or something? xD

I’m definitely aware of this, though some classes are generally more/less pessimistic than others.

I don’t, I love my ranger very much. I also love my thief. One of my guildies play necromancer and he actually called one of his skills overpowered and meant it. Not everyone is hatin or pessimistic about their classes, I guess… those that are happy with them just don’t see a reason to go on the forum talking about that class.

Everyone on the forum is pessimistic. It’s the nature of us forumdwellers. If you want to keep sane, stay away from the forums

I’m pretty happy with all my professions. The only one I have any issue with is Engineer. They are the only profession to me that seems like they need more work.

That’s not to say that there aren’t valid concerns posted. However, there is far more unwarranted complaining than is needed.

I am happy with my necro, mesmer, warrior, and guardian. Haven’t gotten the rest to level 80 yet.

But more seriously – yes, there are problems with some classes. They are definitely not equal. It doesn’t mean they are useless or not fun to play, however – in PvE. WvWvW and PvP are a different matter though.

Big fan of my Guardian, love every minute of it. Jump into the middle of combat, pull the enemies towards me with binding blade and go crazy with my greatsword :P
Add some support utility skills to the mix and it’s great.

Only downside is that I can only use scepter for ranged. Would love to see another ranged option for guardian.

When i play my alts I kind of start comparing it to my guardian automatically. Then again, it took me 2 weeks to decide what class\race combo was gonna be my main. Only class I haven’t tried out is Necro
