Not sure if it’s just me, but after the update there’s an insane number of waypoints contested at any given time, making it hard to get around anywhere.

That would be a consequence of the Megaserver. They said they couldn’t do that without having waypoints contest when viewed from outside the map

Yes, it’s quite annoying. God help you if you want to go to the eastern side of Plains of Ashford… I never realized just how many waypoints there could be contested.

It’s a crummy system. I understand the issues, but they chose the most player-unfriendly way possible to deal with it.
