Interesting statement considering Ellen Kiel has been the only captain in the Council to actually do something to bolster LA vs Scarlet. Evon gnashblade in all his honesty and glory…. I supported him only to have the fall of abaddon fractal and certainly not for his projects for the city.

Reality check. Had Evon won, the above would be what was posted on the front page.

Didn’t they say if Evon won LA would have a better defense and the damage would have been less?

Why would that have been posted on the front page, when the Black Lion Trading Company is Evon Gnashblade’s regardless of who won the election? The advertisements on the website are posted in-character by Evon, and it’s not as though Ellen Kiel would have suddenly obtained control over the Trading Company if she’d lost the election.

Now, what we should be doing is questioning why Evon thinks we should celebrate Lion’s Arch by bringing in the gear of those who destroyed it..

No, we honor Lion’s Arch by removing Kiel. In real life, if a politician isn’t up to par, the citizens can call and vote for a recall. Anet should hold a Recall Election to see if enough players support her removal. At the same time, it allows us to cast our votes for a new candidate.

The time has come for a new direction. Anet, let us vote! May the best charr win!

I could have sworn Evon was more concerned with getting his money and trade goods out of LA during the attack than defending the city or protecting the citizens. As I recall, there were dolyaks laden with Black Lion trade goods making their way to the portal.

Wearing trophies of your conquered enemy is quite common.

There’s a difference between taking a part of your defeated enemy’s gear as a trophy, and mass-manufacturing gear that looks like the enemy’s to sell for a profit. The former is what I did with Scarlet’s helmet when I killed her. The latter is what Evon Gnashblade is doing right now.

He’s glorifying Scarlet’s exploits and thumbing his nose at the people of Lion’s Arch by doing this. But, well, it’s Evon Gnashblade, that’s his whole schtick. Just like he caused hundreds of deaths by shutting off the Asura Gates while fleeing the assaulted city with his merchandise.. he certainly doesn’t care about you, no matter how loudly you might sing his praises. He cares about himself.

I doubt Evon could have defended Lions Arch against Scarlet.
He is not stronger than Kiel,and I also think he looks a bit like a coward,I bet he would hide his TP Goods and run away,while ordering someone to defeat Scarlet.

There was nothing Kiel could do against the attack,it was a much stronger force…while she is just a ordinary human ,just because she was elected doesnt mean she got super powers!

Evon does not care about LA, never has and never will. He cares about profit. He has shown that time after time. No clue why people are glorifying him.

Following the destruction of Lion’s Arch, Captain Gnashblade fled to a refugee camp in the northern hills of Gendarran Fields. Under the orders of Captain Kiel, he was conscripted into the Lionguard under General Emergency Statute 14 and forced (along with all other Black Lion Trading Company merchants), to act as a deputy quartermaster for the Lionguard, upon pain of death. Since then, he has blackmailed Heal-o-Tron to act as his spy on the Captain’s Council.

He also turns off the portals at one point and strands refugees behind. There is a lot of back and forth. Honestly I think no matter what Lions Arch would have been destroyed. It’s just the way Arena Net wanted it.

I just wish they would rebuild it already, it’s been a year.
