I played EQ2 for three years, WoW for a year, Aion for a year, DCUO for 18 months, TERA for a year, Diablo 3 for 6 months – and a bunch of other games in between. This is the first game I’ve played where I’ve been genuinely impressed by customer support for a game.
I purchased two copies of GW2 from their website for the full price two days ago. Then I noticed they had a sale yesterday, with 30% off the game. I emailed them to ask if they could do anything for me – I knew I just missed the sale but hoped they could upgrade my account to the deluxe version or something. Customer support was very empathetic to my situation and ended up giving me the difference between the price I paid and the sale price in gems. To be honest I didn’t really think I’d get anything, but I like to see how the company treats it’s customers before I put a lot of time and effort into a game.
Anyway, thanks for the gems Customer Support! I’ll likely spend a hundred times that amount in your store over the coming years. Great Customer Service means a lot to me and I do appreciate it.
