Just when I was activating GW2 HoT I discovered that I’ll get for free mini Mystical Dragon if I will activate sms protection. So I’m wondering if there are other bonuses like in GW1 when you buy a gaming magazine for example?

It was a mini golem, Zojja’s golem. But it caused an uproar, and this one became avalaible in the gem store later on.

You asked about other bonuses; I said nothing about other mini-pets, though there was the Golem. I had forgotten about that one.

They do occasionally do special promotions, for example early on there was a code they gave out at conventions for an in-game GW2 t-shirt.

But the problem is unlike in GW1 all the GW2 ones are account bound, which means if you don’t get it through the original method you can never get it at all, which upsets a lot of people especially when it’s something like skins or mini pets which people will collect.

So they don’t do them very often.

However if you’re interested in collecting mini pets specifically you should be aware that there any many which have been sold in the gem store or acquired in game which are no longer available and may not ever be available again (and as mentioned they’re not tradable) so getting a full collection may be impossible.
