Q:
Exo karma armor - worth it?
First of all, everything you need to know about equipment is here in the wiki. As you can see in this page, karma armors only cover three combination of stats. On top of that, those are not really the most used combinations, but it can fit a build or two, mostly in the case of soldier gear. Note that there are more combinations for back items and accessories.
If you are not going for a legendary, then stuffing through karma is a good idea. I would personally go for 1 combination of stats rather than full sets because I like maximizing three stats more than averaging lots of them.
You can check availability of karma NPCs on some website or through the dynamic events section of this forum. On my server, they are available mostly in the evening, rarely during the day.
All level 80 exotic gear in the game has the same stat “budget”- the same total number of stat points- allocated in different ways. So the karma gear is “the best in the game,” though no different than 80 exotics you’d buy on the TP, craft, or acquire from dungeons. It’s up to you whether or not it’s worth it.
If this is your first set, I recommend a mix of karma pieces, TP stuff, and crafted/dungeon gear, to keep the blow to any of your currencies minimal.
It can be worth it, especially for your first full exo set. Depending on what stat combo you may want, you may have to visit various different Karma vendors.
Full lists can be found in various places on the web, here is a link to the wiki with a list of the various exo karma armors: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_armor_sets
As to ease of access, it will depend on your server, or if you don’t mind guesting. You can normally find open Temples here, where the exo Karma sets can be purchased: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/events
The karma vendors are spread out to the various Temples, so some walking/running may be required. Good Luck.
Just jump to a world where the temples are open.

Depends on what you want to do with your karma. You can also get cheap exotics at the TP for most slots and temple items don’t cover all stat combinations. Considering you don’t need much karma, except for a legendary, you can normally spend it on armor and trinkets though.
It’s worth it, there’s not that much to do with karma afterwards unless you’re going for a legendary, and as for stats they don’t have more or less stats than any exotic you can get anywhere else.
Don’t make the mistake I did, though, and buy all the armors from the same vendor. If you do that you get the advantage of having all the runes match (so you get the full bonus) but the stat distributions are all over the place. Check dulfy’s guide on temple armor and note which pieces have the stats you want on which temples, and anytime they’re uncontested, go there and buy the pieces you need, you can get the runes later off the TP.
Also remember you can also guest on other servers if they’re never uncontested in your own.
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
Tbh stat combos on them arent attractive for any of my chars/builds exept mby PVT one.
If you like the way it looks.
Some stats may fit your build but I didn’t care for them. I like some of the skins though so I bought some.
Also useful if you got karma sitting and need some neat runes like Melandru’s.
