Today someone asked about stats of a lvl 80 exotic back piece on map chat.
I had a lvl 78 crafted exotic back piece and when i told him the stats on it we were all surprised.

apparently a normal lvl 80 exotic back piece will grant you 22/16/16 stats with a gem upgrade slot.

My lvl 78 crafted exotic back pack has 32/18/18 stats , a gem slot AS WELL as a infusion slot?!

could anyone explain this?

Eddit: someone just pointed out to me that you cant apply a lvl 80 jewl/orb/crest on the lvl 78 back piece..tho the stats seem to be still higher than normal even with a lvl 65 orb no?

I think you have the same stats.

But the difference you have more primary stats with crafted backpiece. But the 2 secondary stats have less stats. The total is the same.

Since many people go for power as primary stats. The crafted backpiece is probably better.

exotic backpiece + ruby orb
22+20=42
16+14=30
16+14=30

crafted backpiece + 65 orb
32+14 = 46
18+10=28
18+10=28

I’m not sure if you can use exquisite orb in exotic lvl80 backpiece. You can have more stats if it is possible.

Actually it’s exotic:
22+25=47
16+15=31
16+15=31

crafted
32+21=53
18+13=31
18+13=31

using the exotic Equisite Jewels for the level 80 backpiece and the rare Embellished Brilliant Jewels for the crafted level 78 backpiece.

I was shocked by the data.
Can ascended back piece beat that stat?

Edited: Yeah ascended still beats lv78, just checked

don’t forget the main thing about ascended that it was designed for fractals and u get it for the agony resistance slots. not for its tiny upgrade in stats

The lvl 78 crafted exotic back has a offensive/defensive infusion slot as well

Most ascended backpieces are very expensive. That’s a significant part of why the lvl 78 crafted ones were put in: to give a much cheaper way of getting an infusion slot.

True, but they cannot be infused and thus don’t have a proper agony infusion slot, so no more than +5 agony resistance on an exotic backpiece.
