So we have the ability to consume tomes for spirit shards, but experience scrolls are slowing stacking in my inventory, I’m at about 12 total. I think it would be a good idea to make them consumable at level 80 for spirit shards as well. I understand 20-40 is a pretty good amount and may seem unbalanced but I’d be happy seeing them payout for 5-10 per sroll. Idk I think it’s a good idea lol. What are you opinions? Does it kinda frustrate you seeing them sitting there in your bank account? I have 10 level 80s and no intention of making any more so they really do serve no use.

Ideally, there would be a vendor to upgrade them to a higher status, especially the Lvl 20 variants that do not stack for whatever reason.
4 lvl 20 => 1 lvl 80
2 lvl 20 => 1 lvl 40
2 lvl 30 + 1 lvl 20 => 1 lvl 80
1 lvl 80 => 80 Spirit Shards

I’ve started using mine for a weekly key-farm. 1 scroll + 45min = 1 key + 11 bags of loot…. I think that’s a decent trade-off.

(Once I burn through all my scrolls, I’ll then turn to my stacks of tomes. )

You’re thinking Writs of Experience, which can be traded 20:1 for a tome. Experience scrolls are what automatically boost a character to lvl 20/30/40.

Yea this is a perfect idea. Gives you some good pay out for dedicated play and clears out some inventory.

Honestly, I don’t know why it takes me that long. I’m doing what I understand is the quicker way to do it: Warrior, human, commoner, ineffable berserk gear, skip the dialogue, utilize waypoints and my home-port stone… It has been getting quicker each time I do it.

It just might be that it’s one of the first things I do Sunday mornings, and I’m just not caffeinated enough yet, lol.

I probably take that long to do a key run. I’m admittedly easily distracted, though. I mean, who can say no to villagers crying for help or a caravan being attacked by centaurs? And look! What’s that shiny stuff over there? Think I can dig some up with this pick I just happen to have,,, er… in my backpack?

I’d like to be able to exchange a scroll for that amount of tomes.

Same for me, except I use a ranger, in honor of my first GW1 character all those years ago (use their name too). Takes about the same time, sometimes a bit less. I’m probably just not awake enough either.

Then there is https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Tome_of_Mentorship … which seems to exist for the sole purpose of being annoying.
