I am currently up to Tier 3 of The Legend crafting for the Bifrost, where you need to gather paints/beams and crystals and I am stuck on Experiencing the crystals. It reads that I need to become encased in the Shatterer’s Crystal. So throughout today since the morning (Australian time. Around 13hrs into this thing now) I participated in 4 Shatterer kills and even standed on where Crystal forms. But still did not get the achievement. Am I doing this wrong? or do I have to pray to RNG god to get this happen? Because if I were to ask RNG god to make it happen, I “might as well” pray for the precursor instead… There should be no luck in getting such achievement don’t yous think..? T_T… I really want this .. I’ve waited 10 months for this and RNG is just not fair…

P.S: I’ve just read other people’s post and I will give that a go…in…another 2 hrs………..(cries)

yes an answer at least would be nice… we are loosing a lot of time and starting hating this hunt cause of this, most of us can’t complete the shatterer is too weak, most fight end without a single crystal…

I think Make the shatterer immune to blindness could help :/

I have to agree here.
3 years after, still no luck with RNG, we’ve been told there would be a way to get rid of RNG for precursors, this is great!
But then why doing that? It is purely based on RNG, There is no fun coming back to the same event every 3 hours and just sit there and hope it works this time.

Please fix it…

Same problem here, Experiencing the Crystal is the last thing I’m missing and Shatterer doesn’t seem to be in the mood to catch me in the crystal. I do the event several times a day, sometimes my friend manage to find another OF so i could try 2x at the time, but still nothing.

But I found a topic on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3qcf0r/experiencing_the_crystal_the_bifrost_iii_the/) with this answer:

“Thanks for the feedback! I’ll look into our options for making this a little less brutal and see what we can do.”

So let’s just hope something will change soon ^^

can only confirm this, the archivement is practicaly impossible to get with todays megaserver technology. The cast which creates the crystal will always miss because of blinds

Any potential fix for this yet?, sucks to be stuck in RNG yet again

kitten .. i got my achivement today.. Saturday.. i explain.. how i can do it..
i put all my toon at the shatter pos.. and wait.. when the counter arrive near 18 min the map are full so i log out and change char, then im on other map.. with other commander and the time coundoun are 20min.. i wait near 18m map full.. and log out.. take my 3 char.. and voila’ im in another map wow saturday lot of ppl doing Shatter.. so in this map we are max 20 ppl and start Shatterer.. now count 1 2 3… biiiim crystallizeeeddd ;D
conclusion i had to change 3 map.. for not have a Zerg with perma Blind..

Did anyone figure this out? I have been caught in crystals twice and am still not getting the achieve. I’ve tried participating and AFKing but nothing seems to work.

nope, 15 times and no achievement. FIX THIS ANET.

I am in the same boat here and really would like to see Anet do something to fix this problem. Every shatterer I’ve been to since becoming eligible for the crystal encasement for my legendary staff (Bifrost), there are NO crystals anywhere.

If it were just a case of getting caught in the crystal and not getting the encasement to count towards the crystals portion of this legendary path, then I would say its bugged. But from what I am hearing, here and from my own guild mates, it apparently is because players use blind on shaterer which prevents the crystals to begin with.

If the fight could be setup so that crystals form in spite of the players’ activities, I think that would help a lot. Its not like having to break the crystals is a problem on this fight.

I am bumping this. I need to complete this Experiencing the crystal for my legendary and its not working because every time I go to the fight, he does not encase anyone.

Tonight I saw him throw out small crystals all over the place, but no one got encased, and neither did I even though I told folks in /say chat that I needed that encasement.

The whole event is being gutted Teq-style, so I expect this won’t be a problem in the future.

In the near term, keep trying to get into a late map, where there isn’t enough opposition to actually take him down.

Interview regarding Shatnerer revamp

That does sound promising. In fact, I would enjoy being able to glide there…but at the moment I need the encasement for my Bifrost legendary.
