Guild Wars 2

Was watching Extant with the wife the other night. Season 2 episode 5 at around the 33 min. mark. Lucy (the girl robot) tells Charlie he should play less games. She takes his laptop and lets us see a game in the background. Omg to my and my wife’s surprise it’s GW2 he is playing! Awesome way to promote the game! Good job Anet (if you even knew about it that is), evidently many, many, many years in the future the ppl are still playing GW2!

I thought that was pretty awesome.

But a guard? I’d peg him as rolling an engie or ele. He’d either go straight science(ish) or absolute magic.

I remember it being shown in the first season as well.

Not impressed until the Lannisters give it a try. I’d even trade a precursor via the mail system with them as I know that these people always pay their debts. I may lose my head, but they won’t trick me moneywise.

There is a movie based on the actual teens and the XXI Internet addictions, where one father discovers his son plays gw2.

The kid shouts “All i want is to play gw2”, they also show some gw2 artwork there where the parents are lurking their sons/daughter accounts.

lol maybe I’ll check that out someday. Cool to see I’m not the only person who noticed this in Extant. thx for comments all. Now all we need is Dev confirmation that this is paid advertising!
