I understand there’s a priority of fixing bugs and such before adding new things to the game. I also understand Anet’s policy of not talking about/giving fixed dates for things until it’s ready to release, the whole “It’s ready when it’s ready” thing which I have no qualms with.
I’m just trying to get an idea of the relative priority of the whole Extended Experience (e.g. the mobile app, the web interface, basically seeing/interacting with portions of the game world from outside the game). As I said I don’t expect any kind of date, promise, or details really but it’d be nice to know if this is something really high on the list and we’ll hear more about it soon (i.e. next month or so) or if this is considered more of a backburner issue that we won’t be seeing for a significant amount of time.
Based on how sites like gw2spidy are set up it seems like the back end system is in place (i.e. passing the required info from a website to in game) and is just waiting for the official front end. My main desire for this whole Extended Experience is the desire to see the WvW scores/map from out of game before I decide if I want to jump in at the moment without relying on 4 hr old user submitted data like most current sites offer.
tl;dr Where does the Extended Experience fall on the list of Anet’s priorities?
Here’s the thing. The guy who wrote this blog:
Was in charge of that team. “Was” being the key word, there. Rick Ellis no longer works at ArenaNet, and we’ve heard nothing about an “Extended Experience” team since then.

That is sincerely disheartening news. I can only hope that it’s still in the works behind the scenes since I really really like the idea.
Any official input would be greatly appreciated just to confirm if this team is gone for good or not. (:
I also remembered that post and the anticipation I’ve got.
Well but the game seems far from well polished for now. So I don’t think they would put any resources on it until other aspects are done.
