I have 11,700 Achievement points. After the April 15th update cap what will happen to the points? Will I be rounded down to 10,000? Or just get the achievement, and all the points I have accumulated continue to the next chest (at a slower rate)?

The cap is only on points from daily and monthly achievements.

You will be able to have a maximum of 10,000 points from daily achievements, 5,000 from monthly achievements (or the other way around?) and an infinite number from other achievements.

Well, it’s not truly infinite, but the cap is whatever the maximum number of points is if you had maxed all the achievements, and it will keep going up as they add new ones.

So, there will be no use to grind for dailies after 10k daily ap, am I right ?
I have currently about 6k ap from dailies.

My understanding is it only applies to APs, but I could be wrong.

If you still want laurels and the karma awarded from dailies/monthlies, you still have a reason to do them.

Depends on what you mean by “grind.” For rewards, you’ll still get laurels, mystic coins, essence of luck, karma, and a chance of black lion items.

If you still want laurels and the karma awarded from dailies/monthlies, you still have a reason to do them.

Just no reason to do all of them (unless you need the xp for some reason).

I know, but I was doing all dailies for ap, that’s what I mean by grinding. Otherwise, getting a laurel by doing spvp achievements is easy and quick.

Hover over your AP menu. It will show you how many points come from Daily, Monthly and actual achievements.

I promise you do not have anywhere close to 10,000 points in daily.

As someone else said, the cap is only achievement points that are gained from doing dailies. If you go into your hero panel “press H by default” go to the achievement pane. Hover your mouse over your total number and it will break down how many were gained from daily, monthly, and permanent. The only things being capped are daily and monthly amount.

In other words doing your daily will no longer reward achievement points after you have gained 10K from dailies. Same goes for monthly but with a cap of 5K.

Go to your achievement panel. Hover over your points. You’ll then see a breakdown of where all your points have come from.

Ooooo… I understand now. Past half way at 6K but a long way to go.
