There’s a lot of “anger” from a small portion of the community over the pricing of HoT. Some of it is from the misconception that Anet should price the game at a price that’s favorable to the individual player. However, this suggestion isn’t about them. It’s for those of us who can see through the false clouds of negativity, and understand that the Ultimate package is the best deal in town.

I think Anet should further reward players who pre-purchased the HoT Ultimate package. Sure we got Beta access, all the bonus goodies, and 4k Gems at a discount. As I said, it was a deal. When the sale hit the website, we didn’t complain or rage at the pricing options. We threw our wallets at the computer screen. We see the value of Anet’s time and energy into making this X-pac and all the improvements to the game we love and hold dear. Colin’s team worked hard, and for that I’m happy to pay. With that said, in addition to the deal we got, I suggest one (or all) the following as an added bonus:

• 3 day advanced access to HoT
• HoT Ultimate title
• 5 Black Lion tickets
• 25 Black Lion chest keys
• Mini Llama
• 25% discount on Gem Store purchases for 24 hours
• Lunch with Colin in the Anet breakroom

The only thing I think would even be close to viable is a special title for Ultimate buyers. It has almost no real in game value but it does show that we went the extra mile to support the game. That aside, the $50 dollars of gems for $25 is what we go for buying in.

That said, the package will stay the same and I have no problem with that. I bought the Ultimate edition based on what was advertised and have no real expectations of anything more.

I feel sorry for people buying deluxe. The 4000 gems is half the cost of the ultimate edition. Either buy standard or edition.

Edit: I fell for him in a gullibility way, not a swoon-y way.

If the price should be tailored to the individual player I want it for free. Talos knows I’ve spent enough on gems (I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s into the $5k mark).

But that’s a ridiculous argument in itself.

This is just greedy all i want is 2 char slots on deluxe and ultimate 1 on normal.

Hence the reason why I’m suggesting it. It’s so they can consider the idea, and change their mind.

And if you want a hard copy of the game, to put next to your CE of the initial game? Then UE is not even an option. Also I would not buy the gems anyway, did never buy gems. I have a game to play it, not to buy more stuff for in it or to grind it or to buy my way out of that grind.
If it would be available as hard copy I would probably buy the UE but more because it would then be sort of a CE, while I obviously would then also expect it to be in a nice box at the very least. That box would then be the reason, not the gems. Buying gems only gives the wrong signal imho.

Not completely true, they confirmed “There are no plans for a physical collector’s edition for Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns.”. That’s something else.

That is same they confirmed about a new profession and about a expansion, while this time they of course do not have a lot of time to make those plans after all, I guess they should announced it before 23 of June.
