The loading times are getting to be very very bad. During this Halloween, loading into Lion’s Arch become a 10 min process. Now obviously this is a somewhat special case, but many of the other crowded maps like silverwastes, or Ember Bay have similar issues. The loading times need to be addressed. At the very least, a status indicator so we know we aren’t frozen would be nice.

Right click your gw2 shortcut and add -maploadinfo into properties.
Example: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -maploadinfo

LA takes a while for me, but nothing like that. 45 seconds? Of course, that can feel like 10 minutes…

About 20 seconds for me if I load by the MF. It takes less time if I load into less populated areas.

Back when we had crafting stations in wvw, I would go months at a time without stepping foot into a town. All the towns suffer from this problem.

One thing I’ve found that helps is if you waypoint into or log out from a town like Lion’s Arch, pick a waypoint far from where people tend to congregate. It’s faster to port to Gate Hub Plaza Waypoint and run to Trader’s Forum Waypoint than it is to port to Trader’s Forum Waypoint because of the obnoxious load times.

If they would only allow crafting stations and/or trading post NPC upgrades in guild halls I could avoid ever going to a town. I’d gain a couple of minutes of play time each say because it takes <5 seconds to load a guild hall, but can take 60+ seconds to load lion’s arch.

It’s probably my bad. There’re many comps that while trying to load into an area can’t handle all my Charr’s awesomeness when he’s there.

ok that is it too cute you’re forgiven but you dare smile you might have to just do some

charity work to really make up for that kittening stuff your trying to pull here :P

if you do not have a dell or HP computer and it is from a computer shop and running

windows 10 do this reboot your computer when it does that bring up your bios settings

of your motherboard and check to see if windows10 is really loading your hard drive

or not. if so just click on your hard drive and it will load but that will also mean thanks

to windows 10 ahh it gets super kittening messy there not sure on the why it is but

i do know that is how to fix it . also too bring up your task manger and right click on

gw2 go to details and see where its setting as another thing with windows 10 i notice

is has the game only run normally . which for me is too slow and i change it to the high

end settings and the game runs even far better . also too another thing in your short

cuts bar make sure you got things turned off that you do not need on like yahoo

messenger and so forth also too if you have a video card app that is not from nvidia

use it and also make sure it is set to high in task manger . doing these things loads my

game up faster then not doing them and cuts the load times down for L.A. D.R and the

other towns also this will make events go better and faster for you too as well . hope
