I read that F2P account will have a free transfer when they upgrade to paid account.
Then, I heard from some F2P account who upgraded to paid account did not see the option to perform free transfer.

Can anyone clarify the procedures for this free transfer thingy?

It does say that if you upgrade you get a free transfer. People need to submit tickets. Something is broken.

Transfers are only allowed once every 7 days; the first time one chooses a server counts as the first transfer. Transfers may, or may not, also have a ‘new’ account cool-down. (New accounts are determined by the date an account becomes a ‘paid’ account.)

“The transfer fee is waived for accounts without any active characters. This allows players just starting out to change to another world that is not full. You also can transfer without cost if you delete all your existing characters.”

Thus, if you delete all your characters you can transfer for free. Those F2P players who later bought the game likely had characters, and thus had to pay gems.

You can transfer, but there is a 7 day cool down and the first time you select a server starts the cooldown. So if it’s a f2p account that buys the game within the 7 days after first logging in, then they will have to wait until the full 7 days passes to transfer.

Yes, that’s what I told them. However, someone was saying it will be “fixed” at HOT? So, is it “fixed”?

No where else when talking about upgrading your account, and the benefits of doing so, whether in the wiki, help topics, store, etc. mention anything about receiving a free transfer. But I could be wrong.

No where else when talking about upgrading your account, and the benefits of doing so, whether in the wiki, help topics, store, etc. mention anything about receiving a free transfer. But I could be wrong.

No free accounts should get the free transfer when they upgrade because free accounts do not get to choose their server when created just the region.

I didn’t know that, no wonder they have no idea which server they are in.

I am sure I read, or possibly heard it on a PoI/Guild Chat, that upgraded Play4Free accounts were eligible for one free transfer. I’m sure I did not see it in-game, as I don’t own a Play4Free account. I just don’t remember where I read/heard it officially.

Regardless, if it has been more than 14 days since the upgrade ( 7 days for features to become unlocked, 7 days for transfer cool-down), you can contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link and ‘Submit a Request’ for assistance.

This is incorrect, you get to choose server and region with f2p accounts. I made one just a few days ago and wanted it on a specific server, and was no problem at all.
