F2P and lfg
just like any new player, it a learning process. I did not understand LFG stuff well when i first started.
I guess the best way to approach this is when new players join via the LFG is to educate them and teach them things about the game and how tools like LFG works, and hopefully in time your words reach other new players and the amount of people who don’t understand will go down, with the help you offered the first one.

My first question is are you posting in the appropriate sub-section?
I ask this because I know quite a few people who post in the Open World section using acronyms/lingo they assume everyone knows, because they are too lazy to put it in the right place and then complain people keep joining thinking its a group to do something else.
If you are, you can simply kick them, though that doesn’t help the overall problem of a large influx of players who don’t know whats going on or understand how things work.
The only thing that’s going to help that is people teaching them.
If they join, and won’t talk, and make no effort to come, then kick them.
This isn’t a new problem, I’ve run into it since the game launched, people randomly joining parties with no intention of actually playing with you.
Why? I have no clue, why join my party if you don’t want to do this content, or even talk to me or acknowledge I exist?
There may be more now, but this is not just a F2P problem, and I’m starting to get tired of people blaming literally everything going wrong in game on F2Pers.
There is absolutely no evidence to support that it would.” -AnthonyOrdon
How can you tell if a person is using a f2p account?
Welcome to the Internet, exposing characters since the early 80’s.
I have a feeling this is going to be an interesting experience. When I mentor in second life it is not hard to tell what country had an article about it or something.
Yesterday I had someone new ask me about the guild I was in (LGBT). When I responded it was what it said they replied they did not know much about guilds. I gave our web address. If the person is LGBT, great, they found what they were looking for. If not they will quickly realize from the site they asked about the wrong guild.
my main problem with it is that they wont talk. and i even tell them how to talk back to me if they dont know how. and i assume that people with 200 ap are using f2p, yeah i know i have no reason to assume it is a f2p char but when they dont talk back or wont acknowledge that they have just done something that affects not only them it is quite irritating. and this has only been a problem for me since the f2p came out. i am not hating on people that are f2p and actually want to become part of the community, i am hating on the people that are refusing to become part of it. If they made any attempt to talk or say anything i wouldnt care because then i could tell them what is up and find out how to help them.
so? kick them! i mean there’s a lot of people whos helping f2ps and that’s ok, but hell when i start (gw1, and so on) no one teach me anything… so i say if people join your party with a good attitude them go with them if not, well kick them, and problem solve, or just kittening play with friends.
