Is there any fix for being unable to log in for the last 4 hours?
It tries to download for a few minutes then just gives “connection error(s) retrying”

We found this on reddit and it fixed my problem
Add this to the end of your GW2 Shortcut Properties target
This is an NA server so will not work for my friends across the water

1. Right click on your shortcut
2. Click on properties
3. paste this at the end of your target line after GW2.exe" -assetsrv 194.25.94.170:80
4. Apply then Ok
5. Run

That worked for me

yep i have that too, it tries to download, drops to 0kb/sec then minutes later gives me a connection error

What really? I’ve been in all day with my guild and never heard anyone having any issues

Well aren’t you lucky. I’ve been downloading the game for the last 6 hours because GW2 wants be to download at 30kbps when I’m on a 50mpbs connection. It’s pretty much kittened my day and my fiances day.

Same issue. Can’t download more than a couple MBs before it bugs out, restarting the patch client and waiting do nothing.

If you are still having problems, try adding this to your GW2 Shortcut Target:
-assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80
Here is a list of alternatives to also try:
194.25.94.170:80
174.35.71.9:80
151.249.90.199:80
93.188.135.37:80
62.154.232.194:80
You can do this by right clicking on your GW2 Shortcut and adding the above text to your Target field. For example your target should look like this:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80

Same exact thing here! Slow to no pre-login download.
