Now in the map where you have to break the seals to release the giant, if you fall on the jumping parts, you DIE. Instead of going downed. Tested a few times, any reason for this? I hope the same wasnt done to the harpy map…

For me it has been a bit of a gamble if I die or not. I think it varies a bit with where you fall, some places will kill you, others not.

In my past experience, if you fell and landed on ground then you were defeated, but if you fell into the abyss then you were returned to a checkpoint and downed. Is this no longer the case?

If you fall onto ground, you die. I you fall into the abyss you get tele’d. However in some spots you die anyways and group needs to reset. The last ones a bug and has been that way since FotM was released.

lol what. swamp is the easiest level.

Anyway yes this is a problem. You get ported up again when you fall down while in battle, but not if youre not in battle.

I think it ports you up if you jump at some parts, regardless of combat.
fotm 30+ here :P
Currently it’s a pretty annoying fractal to be honest, but it’s pretty doable.
sometimes I did end up defeated, sometimes downed. I’m pretty sure there is a bug of double fall that causes you to die because you get falling damage in downed state, and plus look after your downed penalty. if you fall on red you are going to die.
