there are 3 possibilities
- the leaked patch notes are fake, generated by some random guy with free time, lots of it.
- they’re the real patch notes, somehow leaked.
- they’re real, but not the final version.

first, if they’re fake, the guy should have experience in every class to make very accurate notes stating every skill’s aftercast delay which is not in the wiki, and making notes that makes sense(kind of), not buffing his fav class and nerfing everything else for the lolz.
look closer at the changes in your class, any wrong information or anything?

and there’s the possibility that they’re real, which is what I think, if they were fake we’d get official response saying so, if they’re real, they can’t say no they’re not, nor will they say that they’re real, they won’t give you anything.
so, are they real? I don’t want to wait 3 days to know

there is no way to know, you said it yourself that arena net won’t tell it.. so i think you have an answer…

I kind of think they are an intended “leak” to get feedback from the community so they can fine tune things before release.

I think they are fake.

1) Excluding the few “general updates”, everything else are profession updates. No WvW notes, no PvE notes, no PvP notes, no content notes. Very unusual and likely a reason to consider them fake.

2) Updates to traits have been separated into subsections of the corresponding traits lines. To my knowledge, this hasn’t happened before.

3) There is too much rebalancing and too many changes to the professions.

It’s seven pages already, being discussed for a couple of days. I doubt Anet wouldn’t have said anything if it weren’t real…in fact, they merged threads about it.

I feel the same, if those notes werent real at all Anet would have said that.
It might be an intentional, not-finished list of changes, so to get some feedback to do some tweaks right before the actual patch.
In conclusion they are probably not the final version we will actually see, anyway i hope it will be close to that + something more, it would finally be a patch worth of the name.

They aren’t the final version. The leaked version calls the new DS 5 skill Dark Binding, while the official upcoming changes page refers to it as Tainted Shackles.

The patch notes are a good indication of where they are going though, and I expect we’ll see a lot of what they’ve written there.

its a good thing that they’re reviewing, rechecking, retesting, rewriting everything before the final release. better than a rushed re-balance release that makes a rise in the sea of sorrow’s water with tyrians tears.
