I make PvP & WvW videos
Fake or Real Email?
I make PvP & WvW videos
you should be aware if you’re trying to sell your account or not . That is all
I am not, but an email like this concerns me. What if someone else is trying to?
Edit: To extend on my concern, I have been hacked in GW2 before. I recovered my account and it was rolled back (a lot of accounts were hacked in the past during mid December of last year.)

It is totally real. But don’t worry, you can as well directly pm your account credentials to me so I can personally verify them for you.
Seriouly, those things are never real. Although this one at least looks like something that wasn’t written by google translator alone.
Hover your mouse cursor over that link (don’t click it!). You will probably see some dodgy site link. There is a helpful thread if you go to support section about phishing – it’s probably phishing attempt.
It’s fake. Phishing scam to catch out the dummies of the internet. If you click on the email link (NEVER click on links from emails) and you will probably get an infected computer and or be asked to give way your own details so your account can be hacked and used for RMT ( real money trading ) and or botting.
Also sometimes the emails can look very realistic and official looking, even to the point of thee mail saying the sender is : noreplygw2, or noreplyarenanet etc etc
Never believe the sender address is probably faked or altered even if it looks like it came from an official part of gw2 support or something.
I would activate the extra security on your account that only allows people to access your account from IP addresses you accept, I would check your computer for spyware and change your password on a regular basis.
Also they have your email address now which is one part of your login. So if you can changing your email address to a new email address and having that email specifically only for guild wars 2 and nothing else. never use it or share the new email address with anyone or any site.
Same goes for a new password only for use with gw2 and never use that password anywhere or for anything else.

Fake, go into support option at the top of this page. Any contact ANET has with you will be there.
If I were you, I’d be running a virus scan about now….
Seen way too many of these things after a free trial of WOW. Only paid attention to first one, since it was the first one I had seen from any game. Once blizzard told me to ignore it I don’t pay any attention to them anymore. It’s a shame they are starting up here as well. But not unexpected since GW2 is doing so well.

Those things never work. Formatting is the only way out.
OP, Anet will contact you here if they need to: https://en.support.guildwars2.com/
You don’t need to answer mails themselves.
I can’t believe people still fall for those emails. Ignore ALL emails from ArenaNet. They are ALL fake. If ArenaNet wanted to ban your account, they would ban you first and ask questions later.
I need to go watch some darwin awards now.
This is a pretty “standard” attempt to grab your info.
There are still people new to the whole MMO experience coming into this game who may not be aware of this practice.
Thank you for the heads up in alerting folks here and alerting ANet.
As long as you don’t click the link they provide, you’re okay. I still get some, just mark it as junk.
