People can report you all day but as long as you didn’t violate the ToS it doesn’t matter and nothing will happen. However, people that place false reports place themselves in jeopardy of getting suspended/banned themselves.

As long you didnt do anything wrong like flaming, insulting or afking you will be fine.

If you have legitimately done nothing wrong, then you have nothing to worry about. Angry players using the Report function as just sour grapes will be the ones in trouble if they abuse it.

Then you have nothing to worry about. Ignore or block them and go about your business.

…What kind of solution do you think an admin could provide? A badge that says “This person gets reported a lot, but they’re cool, so don’t worry about it?” I’m asking seriously.

If you find yourself getting reported a lot, reassess your behavior and see if you can or should do something different. It’s possible they’re just taking out their frustration/annoyance on you, but it’s also possible that perhaps you’re not entirely blameless, for reasons you haven’t quite noticed.

I’m not saying you are. I don’t know you, and I’ve never played with you, but it’s something to think about. If you’re sure it’s not your fault, I wouldn’t worry about it.

If you’re being reported a lot, yeah… it’s quite possible you’re not being honest about what you’re doing.

What in the world are you doing that’s aggravating people so much they are mass false reporting you? That’s not very common.

Going based on your OP, I’m betting that you are leaving out that you are either:

Being verbally abusive to people that aren’t way pointing the moment they die because you don’t want to rez them.

OR

You’re being verbally abusive to other people because they aren’t doing things your way.

If you are getting reported, check yourself because I have no idea how you find out that you’ve been reported unless CS is contacting you or they are saying it in the chat that they are reporting you.

If CS is contacting you, that might mean they found substance to the report. In this case, you REALLY need to check yourself.

Hmm…reading posting history I’m wondering why people are claiming to report you.

Here’s a tip, people aren’t always truthful. Just because someone says they reported you, it does not mean they did.

The real question is: What did the GMs say to you? How have you been actioned? Be sure to show the screenshots of people being abusive to you, just in case.

Being falsely accused with what though? Profanity? Exploiting? Using the wrong spoon for the soup (unforgivable sin, that)?

My friend got False Reported on. They temp banned her to look into the issue. Then when they let her ban up they gave her some stuff for compensation and we have it on good authority the person that mass reported her was banned himself.

ANet don’t take False reporting nicely and they check out all the reports. The false Reporters will likely get banned themselves for it.

If you haven’t done anything wrong there is literally zero for you to worry about.

OP is clearly abusing the ledge in the Lunatic Inquisition.

You can tell by the way he dances around giving the whole story.

I personally think it should be removed from the game, and in the meantime players who go up on that ledge should be punished for ruining the fun of the other players.

Perhaps he is taunting people which is causing reports.

As for the ledge, it is really an exploit that allows a player to nearly afk through the matches. It is incredibly difficult for the ghosts to get up there. They need have a certain number of stacks of swiftness. Even the jumping is buggy for villagers, which implies that it was not intended. So players making reports about it makes sense. However, I doubt Anet will fix it with only a few days left. It will probably be fixed in next year’s event, like the added walls to Sanctum Sprint.

Yes, I’m aware of the story behind the OP’s complaint. Basically, he is using the SE ledge in Lunatic Inquisition, which some players feel is unfair play given the difficult in getting up there as a ghost. This has resulted in some people reporting him for “exploiting”.

While I do feel that standing up there on the ledge is “unintended”, it’s ANet’s final call as to whether or not it’s an exploit. At its heart though, Lunatic Inquisition is badly in need of some rebalancing.
