So this is a kind of funny topic! What are some famous last words relevant to GW2?

Can’t tell you how many times I died thinking I was jumping off a cliff into shallow water….

Famous last words:
“Yeah, that water looks deep enough.”

Lol! I’m sorry I cannot think of any last words, but i agree with you. I died several of times jumping off a cliff into what seemed to be deep water. Other times I just broke my leg, living with 80 life

‘how bad could it be? It’s just a moose’

Famous last words when you need one more critter for the variety daily.

Okay! I thought of one!

“The axe I am wielding isn’t capable of chopping a tree”

Referring to an axe warrior… not being able to chop a 2 inch thick tree but needs to buy a “hatchet” to do the job.

“I don’t need to wait for my dodge to regen”

So many times…

“It’s okay, I swapped in my falling damage talent.”

“I’ll just jump down into the middle of the guys attacking the gate and my chaos storm will deal with them.”

And lastly,

“Oh crap, I meant to open up a portal before jumping down here.”

“I’ll do it.”

These are the famous last words from a beginner doing the Grawl Fractal, after being told that he must jump off the cliff the same way the Grawl Shaman did in order to become an “Avatar” and slay the Grawl Shaman while everyone else protected him from harm.

Needless to say, we lost our healer for that run.

Oops… “Last words”. Mine didn’t fit into scenario.

The most common last word for me is:

“I got this I got this I got this! x_x "

In downed state…

“Nobody sees me! I can regen my way bac….”

as an aoe from a random mob hits you and kills you. I hate Orr so much! >.<

In WvW

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure the zerg is still behind me. I’ll run in to help kill all these people.”

Well when your new to a map such as WvW lol.

Walks by…. and a freaking Zeal, Wizard, extra Scouts and Guards pop out of thin air and jump me at the same time. I have full toughness too, it’s ridiculous.

Just a few off the top of my head.

“Thanks!” – Uttered seconds before I jumped off the bridge that I was just revived on, only to land in shallow water and die again.

“Henge* is safe!” – Uttered countless times in tournaments (*Henge may be replaced with any of the following: Mine, Keep, Quarry, Waterfall, Graveyard, Mansion, Windmill, Clocktower)

“I’ll be there in a sec” – Uttered countless times in WvW as I’m about to take a shortcut that usually turns out to bring me straight into enemy zerg and/or a huge monster

“It’s only one crab!”
…“don’t eat me.”

“Mind out for that Champion!”
“What Champion?”
Splat.

“Let’s kill that champion, I’m sure it’ll drop something good!”

My last word is usually “whoops”. Applicable at various circumstances. If that cliff was a tad too high. Or that water a tad too undeep. Or if there was this rock sticking out of the water. Or if I got a bit more foes than I anticipated (and my elite on refresh).

Sometimes, it’s followed by “RUN!”. But most often it’s too late for that.

on my ele it is usually, ’I’ll just ride the lightning to this nearby mob’. This usually means I ride the lightning to the middle of a group of mobs past the one I thought I was targeting.

“Follow me to the [Rally Waypoint] and run back”

“Hey guys, watch this.”
“I can defend Hodgins while you destroy the burr-WHO TRIGGERED THE SCAVENGERS?!”
“Why can’t I stand in front of the Howling King?”

Definitely this, “We can just skip these mobs” will always end in one person getting stuck, then another tried to help him out, then another tried to help the helper, and another tried to help the helper of the helper, and wiping out 1 by 1.
