Edit: false alarm, only fixes an exploit with people stuck in objects likes walls/doors. you can still port people in jps! wooo

Still just as useful. Re-read it.

That means if there is a wall between you and the portal, you can’t press F to use it.

But if there is a wall between 2 portals, you can still use the portal (if there isn’t anything between YOU and the portal).

So it will still work the way it always has, with that minor change.

Why are people having trouble understanding a simple sentence?

I don’t think this means what you think. It is more of an exploit fix. People can’t interact with the portal if the portal is halfway between a wall.

You can still have one portal in a keep and the other outside. Just not clipping through the wall etc

Don’t worry, you’ll still be overpowered in WvW

I could be wrong, but doesn’t this just mean that you can’t use the portal if something is overlapping it? How does that in any way make Portal bad?

Pretty sure that’s a fix to stop people from griefing with them by dropping them under static object spawns (like harpy nest)

It doesn’t, as stated above it’s more like an exploit fix, only exploiters will be affected and honestly should learn to play so they don’t have to rely on stuff like this.

I was happy when i first read that, then i realized it was a meaningless fix.

Ah I got it now. That was a stressful 5 minutes.

I mostly use portal to give the middle finger to jumping puzzles that force me to start from the beginning after a missed jump. Works just the same for me then, Woo. Take that, puzzle. Mesmer jumping power.

there’s a difference between an obstruction between the “player and the portal” and an obstruction between “a portal and a portal”
