Hello guys, i need help with understand magic find. I farmed about 12 hours with hard cap of mf (589%) and gets same amount of t5/6 materials and large sculls as guy, who have 130% mf. Difference was only in rare weapons/armor. In this 12 hours i gets about 50 rares, but no exotics. Question: there is meaning of mf at all, as mobs dont increase their chance to get items, proportion of t5/6 is stable 30:6 and i wasting a lot of resources for strong mf. Maybe someone can say me good spot, where mf is needed or something. TY for answers.

MF increase your chance to get rares, and exotics. That’s for sure. Everyone knows it.

Weather it increase your chance to get say “tier 6”. I’m not sure. I heard source claiming high MF do help getting mroe tier 6. But also some people claim other wise.

So base on what I know it’s inconclusive. If more people be able to research it. Maybe people can understand more. I dont’ even farm mobs much any more, so I dont’ know.

Most tier 6 mats come from bag drops and bags aren’t affected by MF.

Considering mf only increases the quality of drops, it could even make you drop less bags and crafting mats since they are low quality.

Right, but the question is if normal tier 6 drop more with magic find.

if people are purposely farming say sharks those dont’ drop bags. Not so sure if it’ll drop more tier 6 because of MF.

Kinda odd that rares have a noticeable increase but exotics really don’t.

598% of .01% is still only .06%

In my opinion (based on farming a lot of Arctodus in FGS) the drop of crafting mats
is not based on MF .. even if some people say it is. At least i still get the same amount
when farming today with over 200% mf than what i got when i only had 30%.

One argument is also that crafting mats drops are not hit by diminishing return
while weapons and armor are.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
