If neither tomes nor boosts are available to you another fast way to level from 0 to 80 in core Tyria is doing the personal story, IMO. That way you also get hero points very fast. If you hit level 80 you can do the HoT hero challenges.
chase hearts and complete maps, during that do events and LV 80 is fast approaching.
beside, the daily rewards has tomes every 6th day of the week when playing every day with a chest filled with tomes every month.
Fastest way to level? Play the game the way it was intended and enjoy the journey! (personal story optional) Since practically every act you engage in gives you experience points I normally say to new players to wander around the map they are on collecting the POI’s, WPs and of course seeing the Vistas. And then of course there is the completion of hearts, of engaging in combat with NPCs, taking part in events … the usual; to say nothing of interaction with other players along the way.
I can only imagine that when the designers came up with the format for Guild Wars 2 that they did not expect or reasonably allow for people who had no patience whatsoever and who wanted instant gratification without seemingly working for it. I’m an old gamer (started in 1981) and for me the point of the game was playing it to the end if at all possible and coming out of it richer for the experience.
In my opinion, working for it makes the gratification and sense of worth so much better because you know you worked hard for it – but then people who have instant gratification seldom give a thought to all of the effort that those who have taken the ‘slow path’ have taken to obtain their status, their rank and all that is associated with them.
Hmmmm doing that fast. Doing events mostly. Go to all the lower lvl maps first and kill those off. Do the story. Go on daily and get tomes through there. After always do a few PvP cause you get tomes there too. I think if you do it right. Every 3 PvP matches you can get a tome. But don’t use the tomes till you get closer to 80. Cause lvling will take longer. Complete the first map your in. Then get a guide to get to all the other lvl 1-10 maps. Discover those then go to the lvl 11-20 maps and do all those. Before you get off do a few PvP matches and get a tome and save it. When you get to lvl 50 or 60. Go to the tequitl event. And find groups for dungeons. On the lfg. Scope out and find a group or make one. It’s all about exp. Those so far I do those. Other people prob know better but that could help.
Oh 1 thing people miss all the time but will take more time to get done. Mine everything and cut down everything and gather food materials. All these add exp. Everything counts. When you walk by mine it. Cut it or gather it. When you get to lions arch by the time you can craft stuff. Do that when it’s by your story. That lvls up to. Everything counts.
Fast leveling is primarily for Alts, which is why Tomes of Knowledge and level boosters get dumped on older characters.
If you have just started playing the game, just know that getting to level 80 without boosts is still incredibly fast if you make sure to have food and utility buffs up while you are playing normally.
I will say lvling in gw2 is faster than other MMOs by far. It just takes lot of thought and work. U won’t realize how easy it is till after your done with your first character. Then you get a better strategy to do it. But since it’s your first. It will take a while. But while it takes a while. Enjoy your time.

I will say lvling in gw2 is faster than other MMOs by far. It just takes lot of thought and work. U won’t realize how easy it is till after your done with your first character. Then you get a better strategy to do it. But since it’s your first. It will take a while. But while it takes a while. Enjoy your time.

then collect tomes, tomes is def the fastest way to level
