Fastest non-crafting way to level these days?
If you love PvP you could always do sPvP and convert your glory (and some gold) into the leveling scrolls. If you don’t like sPvP go with WvW and join the zerg. Depending on how well your server is at WvW you could be leveling pretty fast.
If you hate PvP with a passion, crafting is still an option. You won’t get to 80 just from crafting, but a good chunk would be taken care of. If you have some buddies you trust (or guildmates, depending on the guild) do some dungeon runs then switch to your alt for the final boss.
Well you can still level via crafting to 400, you just won’t hit 80. Level a few others to 300-400 for some easy levels.
Crafting aside, the 2 best ways to earn XP (imo) are the Queensdale champ train (monotonous) and running various dungeons. Whilst running around, gather everything you see. That XP adds up.

Dynamic events are still the fastest way to level. Choose a zone, hit all of the WP and POI for the experience they give, and while you’re at it finish, or at least tag, every dynamic event along the way. Kill neutral creatures for the xp bonus, use food, a crystal or potion, and an xp booster. Out of the way maps, or corners of maps, are usually the best place for xp bonuses. If you can get a buddy or two to go along it’s all the more faster and if something happens and you die they’ll be available to rez you.
Have fun!

Running around opening up waypoints and grabbing easy PoIs/skill points/vistas along the way is a really powerful way to level that’s often overlooked. Not only is it faster than actually doing all the heartquests, but you’ll have the map open to do stuff like Guild Missions.
Thanks for the replies. I may try out the Queensdale champ train. I do love pvp, both spvp and wvw, so I’ll probably mix in that as well to keep things fresh.
