I have one (ten scraps), need 9 more. Chests are expensive and uncertain, so I was looking at the collection rewards here: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Black_Lion_Claim_Ticket

Are those ticket scraps or whole tickets, and which would be the easiest to sets to acquire? TIA

Edit: I think I just realized those collections are the ones you unlock with BL tickets. Dag dang, if BL Chests are the only way to get these things Imma be a broke adventurer for a loooong time.

Those are whole tickets and require collecting an entire set of Black Lion Weapons. If you have that kind of money/gold lying around you can just buy what ever weapon you want to use the scrap on.

The main, real source of either scraps or tickets are Black Lion chests.

You can do key runs. Level a char to level 10 with tomes, writs, crafting or plain old leveling and then do the first section personal story to get a guaranteed key at the end. The Human, commoner line is usually recommended as the best choice for that.

Really those collections are for rich completetionists. It’s not worth the hassle of wasting your money or gold on completing them. Get the ones you like and move on.

If you are trying to get a collection filled up, I don’t recommend it. I know people do it but that takes an excessive amount of gold, money or key runs to get all of even one collection. Then a month or two later they release another collection.

I was looking for two weapons in particular (Crimson sword and axe) and searched the TP first and couldn’t find it. But TP lags and misses keystrokes sometimes so I probably misspelled it. Going back now I find both of them on the TP and would you know I’ve already spent more gold buying keys for chests than it would have taken to buy both?

Yes you will be broke a long time if you try to complete them. I only have 13 black lion collections completed so far and I would need another 50k gold or so to get the rest (unless Anet rereleases the missing ones for 2 tickets each)
