I want badly an ascended amulet. It requires 30 laurels. You can get 1 laurel each time you complete a daily achievement (req: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Daily).

What is the fastest way to get ONE laurel every day?
I am not interesting into playing the game for fun. I have only 2-3h max a day.

Daily Gatherer:
At this point, I am thinking to skip all dungeons, including fractals. If you do any fractal, it takes +45 min and you get only 4 events max. So I am thinking to drop 4 characters level 1 at "Troll End " (in Lion) to farm 5×2 fruits/vegetables (daily gatherer) even if they don’t have the skill for it. I am not sure if this count as a daily gatherer. Does anyone know?

Daily Kill Variety, Daily Kills, Daily Aquatic Kills, Daily Events, Daily Dodger, Daily Veteran Slayer:
My main character level 80 will spend its time in ONE low level area, probably Queensdale.

Daily Healer:
When it comes to “Daily Healer”, maybe there are a few NPC dying at Scaver Plateau that can be healed. If we can heal one npc/player, and then stop, and do this 10 times… does it count for the 10x daily healer?

Daily Laurel Vendor:
And then I need another character to be at the vendor, just to click on him.

What do you think? Do you have a faster way?

Am I the only one saddened by that? I guess this is exactly the target audience of Ascended gear, but still…

^ Then why play or worry about the Amulet? I guess I can never understand why people want to log on to purely farm for an item they arent ENJOYING while they PLAY for FUN. Oh well… I get my dailies as I play with friends. Usually without thinking about it. But, I just got todays in about 20 minutes in Queensdale completely, without really rushing.

I used to play the game for fun, but the requirement for the daily has turn the game into a job… and I don’t like it. I just want that amulet because I feel it is required in order to “progress” in this game.
For example, in order to complete Arah path4, I need to have a higher dps. That amulet may help me get that completed.

Anyhow, do you have any tip how you plan to get your daily?

Maybe I am not as good as them. Maybe my build is not enough. Maybe I’ll get another bad team who have low dps (I was once in a team that beat the boss of cof path1 after 1h). It doesn’t matter how I plan to play this game. I am not whining about it.
How do you plan to get your daily fast without spending 4-6h for 1 month?

Well, you do need the amulet now to progress in fractals since Anet fixed agony so you can’t get around it anymore.

Daily change. wait for it, ,daily.

So it depends. Today with the kill 5 vet, I moved to Queensdales because the last area with the underworld portals you have a very good chance of spawning a vet mob there.

Took me maybe 20 mins for my daily.. I mean gathering and crafting is 2 mins at most.. Dodger you get from doing the vet kills. Events are always stupid easy.

The combo thing yesterday was just broken, hence the reboot and change..

This was the easiest daily out of all of them in my opinion.

You must be a relic from WoW, the rush to level cap, the rush to obtain the best gear because the illusion of progression the world becomes grey, dull, boring. You log on because you have to, you need to, the deluded desire to have everything, the quicker you have it the better.

When you do have everything then suddenly it’s not enough you’ll beg the developers for more content and then the cycle continues over and over and over…

If this is the case then no amount of ascended accessory will help.

You could have the very best gear and still find difficulty in your goal and at the end of it all? you will be frustrated always seeking the next best item in the belief that it will help you be a better player.

I have finally received my first laurel. lol Wow, that was interesting…I did most of it in Metrica Province’s Thaumanova Reactor where it’s easy to get NPC rezes and kill variety. I also found the ice formations that pulsed AOE damage to be helpful in getting the dodges.

So now we need a guide on how to do the daily as quickly as possible? What is the world coming to…

Daily dodging: karkas. You can dodge up to 2-4 acid sprays in two dodges. repeat as many times as needed.

Gatherer: karka land or queensdale or caledon. So many trees and ore there in these places.

Events: Queensdale or the consortium item in karka land event 5 times every 5-10 minutes.

Everything else: Queensdale.

I just played the game normally, finished the daily in 20 minutes. That leaves you 2 hours and 40 minutes to continue playing the game normally.

Guess I don’t see the problem.

So much…I’m not sure what to call it, trolling or “fun policing”? Is there some covert agenda going on where some players try to subtly enforce the dogma that GW2 has zero grinding? Let’s be real: the game does cater for certain achievements that can be very time-consuming and probably require grinding for certain materials or resources for those who are not loaded with gold or RL money. Accordingly, it is completely legitimate and fine to ask and research ways of doing certain aspects of grinding faster. And the main reason the OP mentioned fun is that the broken record on everyone’s tongue when asked how to save time in the game doing this or that is…lo and behold, “just have fun”. Why can I not have fun and learn how to save time grinding for certain achievements? Oh, I actually can.
