I mostly wanted to aim for the armor sets, but what is the fastest way (and roughly how long would it take) to get the following points? I have some goals, but I don’t really want to dedicate toward 30, I’d be happy with much less, so how long would it take to hit these goals:

- 5 points

- 13 points

- 18 points

Beyond that I’m not really interested. Are there any quick guides to achieve any of the above? I know this is a bit vague, but I appreciate the help. I just want to know what sort of commitment is required for each goal point so I know what I’m getting myself into.

There really isn’t a “fastest way” of doing it, there are many ways of achieving the points you are looking for. 18 points really isn’t that difficult to achieve. You can always use the HOM tool to help you plan out your goal. I would say the easiest way to get the points you need in my opinion would be to do the devotion tier by getting minis (8points right there). If you have enough platinum/ecto you can buy weapons from other players to dedicate (8 points there). Some of the titles are easier to get than others but in my opinion that’s the most time consuming way to go (18 max points from titles).

Use this tool to help you plan out what you want to do.

It depends a bit, as there are people who would sell some of the stuffs from the original for GW2 gold, and if you got someone to help you you could drastically increase the speed of some parts. In that way, here are probably the fasest:

5 points:
Basically instant if you get some help, or a couple of weeks if you’re completely new + don’t know what you’re doing. 3 Points are automatically given, and Honor gives you 2 points if you get any statue in the hall of monuments. The easiest for that being the completion of the Prophecies storyline, as you can get someone to run you and finish it in a day of you starting.

13 points:
Instantly if you have help, or a month or two if you do not. If you have someone willing to, you can just buy minis and instantly have +8 points. If you don’t, however, you will want to finish off four more statues, of which the Eternal Survivor, and the various Protector titles are the easiest. That will give you another 3 points. Afterwards, getting the Companion statues is pretty easy if you have all of the games, which is an additional 6 points (the final part of fellowship, the 30 Companion Statues, would take considerably more time than just getting to 20). For the last point, grab an Oppressor weapon for another two points.

18 points:
If you have help, just do the ones from above. If you don’t, this can take a bit depending on how much grinding you did during the second step. If you did, buying Kurzick/Luxon + Vabbian + one other armor that goes into Resilience gives you 6 points. You can also switch out the Kurzick/Luxon or the Vabbian armor for an easier to obtain set to get 5 points, the exact amount needed for 18 points.

You can also grab a Destroyer weapon for one point, but it’s significantly less relevant due to not also giving you the +1 point for the “Any Weapon Statue,” and the Oppressor weapons are a bit easier to get for that.

Without financial help, look below. With financial help, it’s a lot easier since you can just buy your minis, hero armor, prestige armor, and weapons.

Easy points:
Fellowship: MOX(1), Imperial Phoenix+Animal Statue(2)
Honor: Account Linked(automatic 3), Hero of X (3/5th)
* Note you’ll have to level your phoenix to 20 to put it into the hall

Easy but requires more time:
Fellowship: Black Moa(1/5th), Stolen Sunspear Armor for Koss, Jin, Sousuke, Dunkoro, Melonni(1), Ancient Armor Remnants for Talkora, Zhed, Morgahn, Zenmai, Olias(1)
Honor: Protector of X(3/5th *)
Resilience: Ancient Armor(1**)
* Your first 5 statues in Honor will also give you a bonus 2 points, for a total of 3
** Ancient Armor is the cheapest prestige armor, along with Eye of the North ones, but Ancient has no prerequisite, and is at a part where the storyline passes through.

Moderate:
Devotion: Black Moa Chick(2), Buying cheap minis in Kamadan(X)
Fellowship: Black Widow Spider(1/5th *)
Honor: Eternal Conqueror of Sorrow’s Furnace(1/5th **); Eternal Guardian of X(4/5th ***)
Resilience: Luxon/Kurzick Armor(1), any third armor, probably an Eye of the North one(1 ****)
Valor: Any Oppressor weapon(1 *****), Tormented Weapon when the Wayfarer’s Reverie event is up in August(1).
* Underworld is free to enter during Pantheon bonus weeks. Complete Clear the Chamber. Take Restoring Grenth’s Monoliths, then head to the Twin Serpent mountain reaper. Free him, and take Demon Assassin. Head down the hill and kill the Assassin, flag your heroes down there and go up and accept the reward, charm your spider, and open the chest. Your heroes will probably die, but you’ll have time to get this complete.
** By doing the Black Moa Chick scavenger hunt, you have to get to the final boss of Sorrow’s Furnace to hatch it. You might as well finish Sorrow’s Furnace while you’re there.
*** Some hard mode missions have very difficult bonuses. You may want to party up with a friend for them. Moddok Crevice, Dunes of Despair, Thirsty River, Aurora Glade, and Eternal Grove are the main trouble points.
**** Eye of the North prestige armor requires rank 5 in the respective title track to purchase.
***** By completing the War in Kryta storyline, you will get nearly enough materials to get a complete Oppressor weapon. Doing the Hearts of the North storyline will get you nearly enough materials to get a second.

I guess I should also post the team build for AFKing Glint’s Challenge, as that’s one of the reasons that it’s so painlessly easy to do. ~.~

Says bad link.

Also, I’m getting a lot of factions info. Is it recommended I should do this (Say I’m more focused on the 5 and 13 goals than 18) is Prophesies much longer? Factions seems to be a common thing I’ve seen pop up. I bought platinum which is Prophesies and EotN.

Copy and paste the link. The link is fine, it’s just something off with ANet’s end of things.

And Factions, to do normally, is much faster than Prophecies. However, you can basically skip most of Prophecies, while you can’t skip any of Factions. While it would be a good idea to grab, in your situation there’s not really a huge pressing urge for Factions. Nightfall, on the other hand, is something you should definitely grab. It’s a major part of making it to the higher point values easily, as it gives you access to a ton of heroes. Something that is massive for making the game easier for you.

However, the help I gave before is pretty much unchanged regardless of which ones you have, which is largely why I went with those specifically. The big, dependent one is the armor, which can easily be switched out for minis (I have no clue on the state of the economy, which is why I don’t like recommending those unless you know someone beforehand).

With only Prophecies and Eye of the North, you’re really limited on the easy to get points. You only have access to 10 heroes*, no MOX, only one of the rare pets, and limits your easy-to-get Honor statues. You also won’t be able to do cross-campaign scavenger hunts to get a unique mini, and to get an inexpensive Tormented weapon. Your only “bonus point” prestige armor is Obsidian, which is considered the most expensive of them to get.

You can certainly get over 30 points, but you will have to do a lot more grinding than someone with all campaigns.

Another important note is that the main trade hub is Kamadan, in the Nightfall expansion.

  • The above mentioned Glint’s challenge to get hero armor for them is going to be extremely difficult for someone without access to Nightfall and Factions skills and heroes.

Would it be possible, technically speaking, to get to level 10 and stop and manage to pull off just 5 points (so 2 additional)?

Frankly, I really just want the heritage sets up to the shoulders as quickly as I can. Beyond that I have all the time in the world, but I’d really like to knock this out asap with just Prophesies and EotN if possible. I’m level 5 atm, sort of slow because it has been so long since I last played. x.x

Has the HoM been reopened in GW2? I hadn’t heard anything but it might be pointless to rush if you still can’t access the rewards.

You can get to 10 or so, get to Lion’s Arch, and then do the quest to head to Eye of the North. Eye of the North is a lot more difficult than anything in Prophecies until you get into the Crystal Desert.

Note that when you open up the Eye of the North, you only have Honor unlocked. Gwen gives you a Tapestry to open up a monument of your choice, but you’ll have to complete the racial storylines to get the other three.

If you don’t have minis, platinum, or weapons given to you, you’re not going to have any easy to get statues until you finish Prophecies (put Hero of Tyria in Honor, for 2 points), and level a pet to 20 and put it into Fellowship (1 point). If you’re not secondary ranger now, you will have to do the Prophecies story up to Augury Rock, and then do a set of quests that will let you change your secondary profession at will in outposts. That will get you the 6 points needed to unlock the heritage armor skins (when the HoM in GW2 is reopened). Your next easiest point will be to try to purchase a white mini (1-2 platinum recently), but that make take some time due to you not having access to the main trade hub.

Even if there is easy and fast way to get a lot of points you will still have to wait for anet to fix HoM bug.

Yeah, I understand that. I had played GW a long time ago (long gone account) at this point, while its decently enjoyable, it does feel a bit dated. I just forget how to do much, and I didn’t play it when HoM was released so I’m just wanting the Heritage sets with as ~little~ work as possible, not out of laze, but I’m not really in it for the reliving experience, unfortunately, as I generally enjoy GW2 far more as far as play goes.

The unlocking of the trees though, that was news I hadn’t noticed… I will probably end up just playing through Prophecies with a Ranger and go from there.

That’s the best guide I’ve seen. It’s geared towards helping people get HoM/30, but it applies to your situations because it starts with the easiest points to obtain and distinguishes between those who own all campaigns and those who don’t.

A lot of points can be bought: minis, destroyer|oppressor weapons, consumable titles (drunk, sweet, party) and so on and there are suggestions for how to go about that. It then moves on to titles that are easily ‘earned’.

Good luck.
