I have a favor of the festival sitting on my account and I am not interested in acquiring more tokens to use it so may I exchange it for 50 obsidian shards?

Favor of the Festival can be buyable on TP by buying Favor of the Pav/Bazaar. They are pretty cheap to worth 50 obs shards.

Since you can buy an Obsidian Shard for 100 Festival Tokens, would

1 Favor of the Festival = 50 Obsidian Shards

mean that

1 Favor of the Festival = 5,000 Festival Tokens?
Or 105,000 karma? Or 150 laurels? Or 750 Fractal Relics?

That’s a very crude comparison, but I think it suggests that 50 would be just a bit much. Spidy’s current prices put a Favor of the Festival at roughly 13 gold if you want to make a new one for yourself.

That would make Obsidian Shards 26 silver each.
(For about twenty minutes, before suddenly the prices on the other two skyrocket due to people buying them to exchange for Obsidian Shards.)

I don’t care one way or another about exchanging the Favor of the Festival for an alternate reward, but it’s interesting to see what kinds of unintended consequences, like rising prices for the components, come out of the idea.
