Rikkiti.
Because her dialogue is so great it sums up the WvW response to pretty much every PvE balance change in GW2.
“Yes… no… what?”
Forgal Kernsson. no other character has come close to Forgal for me. he has an amazing sense of humour. I like his gritty realism, his reason for fighting, and how solid he feels as a character.
shame about the Claw Island thing. I’d take Forgal over a cutsy dragon into battle any day.
| 61 Asura | 5 Charr | 2 Norn | 1 Human | 1 Sylvari |
Galina Edgecrusher. Her comebacks and taunts are so lame they become funny again. We need more of her and Snarl.
Caithe Caithe Caithe Caithe Caithe Caithe Caithe
Honestly (typically), I love Taimi. Her quips and general hyperactiveness is hilarious for me. Closely followed by Countess Anise, we need to see more of her.
Honorable mention is Dawkkurra, the Skritt in Westwatch events in Auric Basin, the dialogue is just brilliantly done for a Skritt who finds floaty shiny objects that are sentient.
Rytlock, and I’m so happy he’s a part of Dragon’s Watch now.
Magister Sieran, I thought she embodied the Sylvari really well. I mean, the game often makes it easy to forget how young and inexperienced at life the Sylvari as a race are since we, as players, tend to be dealing mostly with the exceptions… (Trahearne, Caithe, Tegwen & Carys, Canach…all of them pretty scarred by the outside world already)
Scarlet was the best character in the lore
I like Taimi as well, she’s fun.
Trahearne was also a great character with a lot of depth (arguably the most depth in the entire game), but the writers really missed the mark with him by not considering how “the core MMO audience” would react to such a character essentially being their superior and getting a l33t magic sword ahead of them.
I can’t think of another chr for this! Human necromancer talking about his minions his lines are fulled with love for them
Excelsior.
I think this is not easy because this game offers many characters with a lot of diversity and I can’t really put my finger on THAT dude or dudette.
Also, I have a big problem with the area’s names, so I I can’t point even the rough direction, but still I try:
Human: That couple of farmers standing in front of their farm house. She mentions random things and the guy, probably her mid-age husband always goes like “Yeah, uh, whatever” or “I never tought about that” in a tone as in: “I don’t care”.
Norn: —-
Asura: Agent Zrii and Toymaker Tixx. Zrii is cute and evil at the same time, basicall representing Asura attitude at its best. Tixx looks super funny and makes me laugh whenever I see that dude.
Charr: Rox. Spent €10 to get Mini Rox when I saw her. I don’t know why, I’d pet her and comb the fur all the time. Also, the many hilarious encounters between Charr bit..ing at each other, like those two cats underwater trying to fix someting and always blaming the other – just like the two old and grumpy guys from the Muppet Show.
Sylvari: One guy looks like from a German season of BIG BROTHER. That dude also looks like he recorded 80s freestyle in the Bronx. I forgot his name, too.
and politically highly incorrect. (#Asuracist)
“We [Asura] are the concentrated magnificence!”
Ark far more interesting than any character in the lw xD . Ark and the harbinger of woe
I never knew her name but in the old Lion’s Arch layout when you went into the Trading Post building there was a human that said something like, “Hey, can I have one of those?” and a little Asura lady that just says, “No” almost before he finishes talking and she said it in such a calm and matter-of-fact way like “The answer will always be no, you are not worthy of my ‘things’ go away mr. troll” and it cracked me up every time I was in there
Canach, especially as his character has developed over time. Especially like his sense of humor. His lines during Confessors End show he’s come a long way since Southsun Cove.
Honestly (typically), I love Taimi. Her quips and general hyperactiveness is hilarious for me. Closely followed by Countess Anise, we need to see more of her.
I second this, love Taimi and Countess Anise and Tybalt Leftpaw.
“Apples, Apples for sale, come and get a nice quiet apple! Psst! They’re so quiet, you might say they’re whispering!”
North Keep: One of the village residents will now flee if their home is destroyed.
“I knew it, I’m surrounded by…” – Dark Helmet
My favorite will always be Pol. He’s an asura who accompanies you on your level 10 story mission if you choose the Synergetics path. He is humble, noble and very kind.
Scruffy.
It did more with far less than any other character.
Tonn, I regret murdering him ever time I go to AB.
[HaHa] Hazardous Hallucination
Tybalt i agree was the best.
My 2nd and 3rd personal favorites were Eir and Caithe.
In the original GW2 story they had the most character. Eir feeling the guilt of team member. Zojja was really dumb about this as if she was the only one upset about it. (they were all pretty mad)
Caithe bringing you in and seeing the GREATEST TEAM OF HERO’S assembled and her sharing pain about her love for Faolin and with some details of what shes gone threw.
HOT really really upset me with the story line of how they treated DE. Eirs death (spoiler alert) was really weak to me and Caithe/Faolin saga really really was terrible.
This story was a potential chance to show this dragons power over the Sylvari and what a huge threat he was suppose to be.
On my Sylvari rev and necro threw story mode, it felt rushed and nearly identical to my norn and human. I threw my hands up when on a story mission Canche cared more for a Sylvari soldier who was turning more then I did.
HOT story felt rushed and actually makes me despise it with its quit story telling and damaging effects on my favorite characters.
Its like being a Cyclops fan from X-men and then on the 98th comic book the jerk writers start turning him into a bad guy because people are butt loving wolverine.
SO MUCH FRUSTRATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shaman Ursel when he speaks to Bann in the Bear Lodge. I am grandpa and the conversation made me smile and mist up.
The progenys in Metrica Providence that does the yo mama jokes.
Eir.. I actually teared up when she died.. Same with Tybalt. On all my characters those two hit me the hardest of any of the NPC’s I’ve encountered.
Taimi is the one that first comes to my head, simply because shes been quite relevant lately, and I love her dialogues. But there are a lot of good characters, not always being correctly used… Most Asura I find extremely annoying and funny at the same time. The necro lines are great, th engie ones too… Elli & Zott story is as great as is tragic.
Snarl and Galina are a great charr couple, also, funny, tender and fierce. Good backstories, there.
I know is not going to be very popular, but I like the couple of Quaggans in verdant Brink, Baroosh and Shashoo: they have the character development everyone else lacks…
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

Kasmeer Meade is my favorite character. I’m rooting for her to ascend back to nobility and marry her love. It’s disappointing to keep having her have confidence problems.
Caithe runs a close second.
Magister Sieran, I thought she embodied the Sylvari really well.
Sieran all the way!

Please don’t tell my Tybalt dies!

In regards to Kas, I am guessing you are happy with her name plate change in Ep 5
Taimi and Phlunt. I love how they both have open disdain for each other. Their interactions are awesome!
Canach, Sieran, Tybalt, Taimi!
Majory and Kas are cute too.
