Favorite Loading Screen?
I’ll have to go home and check out the loading screens as there are ones I liked but can’t remember. I do remember liking the Frostgorge Sound drawing.
Question: Where are those statues in the loading screen of Kessex Hills?
the ones i dont get stuck on i enjoy the most
Divinity’s Reach… if you look at it kinda like you do with one of those pictures with the hidden image, it looks like the birds are actually drifting through the air.
That or Malchor’s Leap, just cause the dude with his arms up is probably like “OMG I MADE IT THROUGH STRAIGHTS ON FOOT…FINALLY!!!! NOW I CAN ENJOY THE REST OF THE MAP”… oh how naive that dude is….
I like the loading screen of Bloodtide Coast – it´s also one of the zones I really enjoy every time I visit it. But I also have to say that there are many other loading screens with nice drawings – just like you posted Divinity´s Reach and Wayfarer´s Foothills also make me smile during the waiting time ;-)
I never really thought abouty a favorite screen—they all have great artwork.
Then I saw the Wintersday one with the Charr running from the giant snowball.
That one wins.
Blazeridge Steppes. Dragon is cool.
Straits of Devastation
the WvW one with all the gold-plated warriors/guardians in it.
Kessex hills, because those 2 female statues remind me so much of that neverending story scene…
Run atreyu run!
Kessex Hills, definitely.
However, why is it that the image the loading screen displays is actually not represented in game… ? O_o
Blazeridge Steppes and Fields of Ruin.
Blazeridge radiates energy and I can almost hear the chaos present on the screen, and for Fields the scale of the place is just amazing.
Yeah, Kessex Hills too, the statues really remind me of the Giant Statues in LOTR.
I really like Snowden Drifts. I have no idea what is actually happening in that picture but it really appeals with pathos.
I cannot for the life of me remeber where i saw it, but there’s a loading screen with a sandcrawler-looking thing with people exiting or entering it. Pretty kitten.
I think it was one of the asura personal missions, though I’m not sure.
Alatum Interitum
Snowden Drifts – both highly dramatic and cool.
A Light In The Darkness (storyline mission with the Pale Tree and Orr) – It’s not quite clear what the picture is of, but its very cool.
Frostgorge Sound – elegant massive floating city that dwarfs the large ships around it. Pity the in-game appearance of the city/ship isn’t as cool.
Fields of Ruin – Ebonhawke at its coolest. Sinister and strong looking. And unlike the kodan ship, the in-game rendering is plenty cool already, just not as good as the load screen.
WvW screen – there’s a hidden ducky.

If you want a reminder.
This one.

I wish the oakhearts actually looked like this and not the creepy faces they have now, but i love the wilds and this has a nice caring feel to it.
The FotM one kind of reminds me of the Farplane scene in FFX.
I’d say it’s a tossup between:
- Blood Tribune Quarters – He’s all like COME AT ME BRO!
- Ascalonian Catacombs – They’re all like YOU COME TO THE WRONG NEIGHBORHOOD MOTHER<expletive>
- Wintersday Jumping Puzzle – The Charr is like OH kitten kitten kitten!
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
