Hi Guys,

What is your favorite miniature so far and why?

Since there are so many minis already I have a couple of favorites:

- Mini Liadri the Concealing Dark: First of all it is not so easy to get, it takes alot of effort to get this one. What is cooler then a totally black mini that is 24/7 in Death Shroud?

- Mini Chainsaw the Skeleton: This is my absolute favorite halloween mini. Creepy, green and chainsaws, a perfect horror mix if you ask me.

- Mini Mystical Dragon: A floating, turning chinese dragon. I love the Asian culture!

I’m curious about your favorite minis and why those specific minis.

I don’t collect minis. But I’ve unlocked my favourites. I’m a real cat lady though so felines are my fave minis.

Snow leopard cub. So cute.
Ghostly Cat, whispy ghostly effect with almost invisible paws.
Mini Gorseval, his aura is pretty cool.
Mini Tiger Spirit, similar paws to the ghostly cat.

I’d really love a Bloodstone Lady Wisteria Whiskington mini, but atleast I can have her in home instance.

I really love the llama minis. I cannot contain myself when I see one.
Other than that the orian baby chicken, Old Tom and Aurene are my favorites.

Oh that’s a tough question! I love mini pets and I’ve got literally hundreds of them (aiming to have them all eventually). I love the novelty of them so it’s really hard to choose between them. There’s also ones I like because of my memories of the content I had to play to get them (like Liadri and the WvW dolyak) or because they’re based on things/characters I really like.

But I think some of my favourites would be:

• Helmed Moa Racer – It’s a tiny moa in a hat, what’s not to love?
• Angry Chest – because of The Luggage.
• Tiger Spirit – This one was really fun to get, and it looks cool.
• Polar Bear – My first mini. Also I was a mini collector in GW1 as well where this was the super rare, impossible drop so even though the GW2 version is pretty common it’s still special to me.

• Munificent Gift Skritt — Who doesn’t love the mini that removes those bulky packages from under your Wintersday Tree? Those are a fire hazard, mirite?
• Liadri — earned the hard way. Plus: some of the coolest mini animations in the game.
• Tequatl — somewhat common today (a few gold), it was rare (hundreds of gold) when it first started dropping. It’s a fond reminder of being present at my server’s first successful kill after the first revamp, backing before you could stack conditions.
• Black Moa — closest to the GW1 Moa Chick, my very first mini in either game.
• Ellen Kiel & * Evon Gnashblade — talking minis!
• Spooky Skeleton — Glows in the Dark! (a fun indicator of whether it’s Day or Night in game)

Also the Twisted Nightmare, Twisted Mender (heli-mini!), Panda, Chicenado, Gwynefyrdd.

To be honest, my favourite mini is usually whatever the most recent mini I’ve seen is.

Right now that means the mini nature spirit. Which in fairness will probably stay my favourite for a good while even after the new shiniest of shinies comes along.

Of the ones that I’ve had a long time, the mini snow owl and mini raven have been long time favourites of my Norn. And the mini holographic minotaur and mini colocal.

I’m not a massive fan of the humanoid minis though.

I couldn’t choose one favorite, so here’s my top 5 (in no particular order):

1. M.O.X. – I loved M.O.X. in GW1, and having that mini in GW2 just makes me happy.
2. Orrian baby chicken – It’s so cute…and undead, but still cute.
3. Snow flurry dragon – It’s so pretty, AND my cat loves to watch it as it swirls around the screen.
4. Liadri – One of the coolest-looking minis, I feel, and it’s a good status symbol for people who beat Liadri.
5. All of the llama minis – Llamas are the best. I’ll never own any of them, but I still think they are adorable.

It’s a toss up between gryphon plush and spirit tiger.

The grpyhon’s a symbol for my guild, plus(h) it’s darn cute.

Otherwise, it’s a friggin’ tiger. As a ghost. A tiny ghost. So fierce. rawr.

Oh, and the festive Lord Faren. Because he makes people confused.

the old Kasmeer (I have not unlocked the new one yet)

Queen Jennah. I have more than 40.

I prefer the “natural ones” like owl, spiders, moas, and raccoon. But right now I’ve turned off mini’s and titles, except for the snow dragon on one toon since it goes too perfect with the white theme in use.

The mini floppy fish

My favorite minis are the avians such as hawk and raven. Conceptually my main, a ranger, is a falconer. Having the mini to accompany using the avian pets would go a long way toward really cementing concept for the character.

Unfortunately I have been unable to acquire these minis.

Mini Ho-Ho-Tron – I just have a fond place for Ho-Ho-Tron. I love the replica Ho-Ho-Tron’s comments during Wintersday
Mini Oxidecimus the Shadow Raven - One of the coolest looking minis IMO and I farmed my kitten off to get it too.
Mini Angry Wintersday Gift - This on just makes me laugh.
Mini Mystical Dragon - You don’t really have to do anything for this, I just have a fascination for Asian culture dragons.
Mini Jack-a-lop - What’s better than a bunny with antlers? Also, not everyone has one.

Mini Southsun Faren – because it’s a skimpy male and who doesn’t like a little eye candy

Mini Air Elemental because it looks like some magic orb.

I like my sparkly chicken I some how got off one key I had been saving from a map completion back during the Lunar New Year thing. After that, it’s the kitties with hats…Chauncey and the Feline Familiar, so adorable!

Mini Aurene for obvious reasons

The cat cubs, because they are a nice hybrid between a cat and a dog: Lion Cub, Jag Cub. My main Elementalist and a few others use them.

My Thief has the mini puppy (non-cowboy).

My Norn Warrior uses a Hawk, it just worked.

My Revenant has the Monk outfit on with a staff and a Sturdy Leatherworker’s Backpack and has a whole ‘Monk’ thing going, so I have a bear cub following her around.

My Mesmer has a ghostly cat because her clones kinda look like ghosts and I’m using Mist skins on her weapons.

And of course, I use a lot of seasonal ones like mini ghost and princess doll.

I would like to use this thread to point out that there are many cool human(oid) minitures who are way too small in size. That’s pretty sad, because they are barely visible when you put them on display, therefore it’s no fun (thus no point) in using them, even though they are so, so nicely done and I would love to use them.

I think my mini should reflect what some of my character displays.
Having a character that kills with lightning and wears the purple and gold lightning colors and uses the electromagnetic glider makes me surprised that there are no purple mini’s….

That would likely be my favorite.

My favorite is probably still the Undead Orrian Chicken from the HoM rewards.

Ha, I need to reply here. I am actually not interested in minis at all but this is different:

When I started GW2 a year ago, I made a mesmer and my guildie a necro. Like most leveling necros, he ran a minionmaster build for quite some time. And I just fell in love with the Shadow Fiend minion. I was really disappointed when the Shadow Fiend disappeared because it is not used in end game builds.

When I opened a random BL chest a few months ago (I do not farm/buy keys, so I rarely get to open one), a Mini-Shade dropped from it! I could’t have been a happier player if I had looted a precurser! <3 Since then, that Shade is always with me.

I found out later that the Mini-Shade is not that expensive at the TP, so I could have bought it without that lucky drop. However, I would not have known about its existence because as I said, I never paid attention to Minis.

My Lady Rhonwyn will never have any other mini than her mini melandru stalker. I got it as soon as I found out it existed, didn’t even look at the price when I bought it way back then from the TP :p

For the rest, it depends on my mood, on the character, sometimes even on the dyes used.
