So what are yours?

After a while of playing I (think) I’ve come to the conclusion that I have 3 favourites.

Thief, Mesmer and the Necromancer.

I love the mobility of the thief. It really is pretty darn awesome.
I love the utility of the mesmer. Dazes, AoE quickness, cripples the lot.
I love the conditions and AoE marks and wells of the necromancer too.

As for the rest, they came up short in my opinion in one way or another.
1) Warrior. Dullest utility skills in the game.
2) Guardian. No real ranged option meaning in WvW you stand around pressing 4 on your staff a lot.
3) Ranger. Truly lovely moves let down by a naff sword and mainly dull utility skills also.
4) Elementalist. No weapon swapping makes me sad. Aside that they’re fun.
5) Engineer. Not sure what it is about them but they feel really fun, but not quite right. I think I like the option to go melee too much.

That’s a tough call. I’m playing a Ranger, a Mesmer, and a Thief. Although I consider the Ranger to be my main, I really do love all three more or less equally. My next two will be Warrior and Elementalist (already played Ele at lower levels). Maybe I’ll try the others someday, but currently they just don’t interest me.

I’m playing Necro & Ranger and love em both. Ranger was getting too easy in PvE so I rolled a Necro for some challenge. Been quite rewarding.

Warrior. It is, in fact, the only class I like at all. I tried to like:

- elementalist, felt like most dmg was way too delayed and therefore easy to avoid, also has to be defensive or semi defensive cuz it’s ridiculously squishy as pure dps, therefore it’s not a great dps and not a great defensive either

- thief, hated the initiative mechanic from the start, I also don’t like in combat stealth

- mesmer, but see no reason to play pve with this, you’re only slowing yourself down cuz you’re forced to play with clones rather than “real” dps

Warrior seems to be the only class that can just do damage in a normal and effective way, and spec for that. Every other class has drawbacks such as forced utility, pet mechanics or low base armor and HP.

Warrior is my favorite. I’m able to Tank and still do kittenage with 800-1200 damage auto-attacks without critting and provide great support to my group

Ele so far. It’s interesting, versatile, and dynamic. We’re always doing something, never spamming the same skill over over. We have such a wide variety of skills which keeps it fun and we have something for almost every situation. It’s more challenging than other classes but after getting an Ele to 80, my alts are all a bit boring. Effective yes, but boring so I can only play them for so long before the fun runs out lol. I mean Ele still needs some tweaking because the class still has some issues, but so far it’s the one I’m enjoying the most.

My main and favorite proff. is Mesmer. As for alts I can not decide between an Ele and Warrior.

Why Warrior?; Everybody knows why.

Mesmer! I also enjoy playing my Engi. Tried to like Warrior and Guardian but find them too brain dead/easy mode.

I agree there, Mesmer is a good one as well. Mesmer is my second favorite and the alt I play the most.
