Q:

Hello, don’t know if anyone will read or if this is the wrong place to put it but I’d love to see the ability added to access the inventories of my alt characters without having to log out of the game. Eg: if I get a drop on my Necro that suits my Gaurdian, rather than having to go to my bank, deposit it, log out of Necro, into Gaurdian, go back to bank…simply have a mechanism to transfer straight to the Gaurdian from either an NPC or tab in my inventory. Same applies if I know on from example that my Gaurdian has some magic find food and I want it on the Necro. Lots of mucking around. Unless I am being dim and there is a better way that already exists?

I think this would be a really handy feature for players – maybe. It’d be handy for me though. I know in Destiny (yes I know…weak) I can do something similar using their App Store app.

Anyway, thanks.

Sounds like what shared inventory slots are for..

I’ve often wished for a ‘mail to myself’ feature. Maybe it could have a safeguard where you have to accept the previous mail to self before you can send another one to keep it from being used as extra storage.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

This would completely defeat the purpose of shared inventory slots

Bank access doesn’t quite answer it – but this would render that obsolete so yes point taken.

Shared inventory I tend to keep for specific things, but of course you are right it could be used for that purpose of course.

Basically as I am able to do that on another – admittedly inferior – MMO, it struck me as odd that there is no direct way to do it. Points above definitely understood though

Thanks

Shared inventory slots don’t quite cut it. You cannot place anything in them that will become soulbound on use, even if it is currently not soulbound. It seems a daft restriction to me but it is what it is.

I use my shared slots for this purpose too, even though I normally have them all filled. It’s not like it’s a permanent change, as soon as you’ve moved the item into the characters regular inventory (or equipped it or whatever) you can replace whatever was in the slot before.

I don’t need to do it often because most of the time it’s no problem to keep it on the character who found it until they get to a bank, and then withdraw it when the other character gets to one. A lot of the time I’m not even quite sure which character I’m going to give an item to when I first find it.

Again Shared Inventory and Bank Contract that solves the issue and is in game and will improve every single characters Inventory Space immensely

One thing I would add to my initial thought on this was the ability to check the inventories of my Alts without having to log in to each one.

Agree with everything above based on what I said though
