As a guild leader information of when my members come online is important and people that you have tagged as friends are always good to know when they come on as well. It’s also important to get info out to your guild effectively without forcing your members to have to go to a outside website. Those thoughts in mind I suggest the following additions to the UI.

1. Add notices for when guildies and friends login or out. Could be in the chat box as text or as simple as a visual indicator of your friend or guild icon flashing. It’s a pain to have been waiting for that one member that you need to talk to and miss them cause they only spend 10 minutes online at a time.

2. On login have the Guild MotD auto post in a member’s chat box. I have far too many members that say they didn’t know something was going on cause they haven’t opened thier guild pane in the last week.

And when that doesn’t work…

3. Add a Guild mass mail option. This is a good idea cause you NEVER have everyone online at the same time and you have the ones that can ignore the MotD but they will have a hard time ignoring thier PM icon flashing. It could be added and tied to a rank permission so only leaders can use it as a side thought

1) There are already notices when friends log in and out. It pops up in my main chat tab. I forget which feature its part of, but it is there. If I assign a nickname to the friend on my friend’s list, the notice even refers to them by thier nickname. “Angel is now online” “Angel is now offline”

2) I could go either way with the MotD post. Maybe have an option to enable or disable it? Some guilds have just a standard message that doesn’t change and if you’ve seen it, you might eventually ignore it anyway if it popped up all the time. Maybe only pop up if it’s changed?

3) I wouldn’t mind having a mass mail option, but I think it would need some limits so someone couldn’t potentially abuse it.

If you enable ‘game messages’ as a chat option, it will say in chat when someone on your friends list logs in or out. Game message are found as one of the tab options on the chat panel. Eg. It will say in chat, scimiter.1428 has logged in (or out).
(It will tell you about every drop you get also).
