I applaud many of the changes that were implemented with the Features patch. Some were long overdue, others should have been there at the start. I don’t like how the Megaservers have screwed up node positioning but that’s another story.

When I went through the list looking at all the skins that were still locked, I realized with some annoyance that in leveling my 15 characters to level 80, I had owned the vast majority of armor and weapon skins at some point in time (including the cultural armor Tier 1s and 2s; the Tier 3 I did not delete, fortunately). Yet, now I have to pay to unlock them again.

That said, we’ve only defeated 1 elder dragon so far and if I’m not mistaken, there are 5 more to go. So at most, we’ve just completed 16% of the grand story (i.e. the defeat of all elder dragons). I’m happy that you’ve put these systems in place now (as compared to later) and urge the A-net team to consider as early as possible what else needs to be added to the game.

I’m sure a lot of players, like me, do not appreciate having to do content twice (spending most of my time in WvW these days; did not appreciate the distraction of having to visit Orr for trait unlocks), loss of value (e.g. my redundant rare dyes) or pay for content twice (e.g. the locked armor skins as described above).

Thank you.

Ye the feature patch changes are nice, I am somewhat disappointed at anet that it has taken them this long though. They always talk about how they have a priority list in terms of things they want to do in the game, and in my opinion they’ve wasted a lot of time on other useless things that have been added to the game when most of the features in the feature patch should have been there day one. It just makes me think the game was rushed.

As for the elder dragons and the living story, its cool and I want to know more but its scary how slow this games progress has been. Almost 2 years and were just beginning to encounter another dragon, and we’ve only had 1 new map added. The lack of permanent content after about 2 years is very sub-par for the MMO industry. Im hoping Anet has learned their lesson from this.
