First of all: Thank you for not making it awesome. I thus still have no desire whatsoever to start the grindy, endless journey towards making any legendary weapon. And I thoroughly mean it, this is not sarcasm or anything. Leaves me time to actually play and enjoy the game!

Then:

- This bow is too chunky. Doesn’t feel like a rapid firing shortbow at all.
- The tigers don’t fit the rest of the design.
- The entire design doesn’t resemble tigers, more tribal looking than anything.
- The color scheme is way too much fire and not enough tiger. Black and yellow are in order.
- Footfall effects definitely aren’t noticeable enough.
- The spirit tiger is a good start however you don’t even see it unless you record and watch in slow motion. That’s sad, it’s a nice touch! It needs a little more substance, a tad color, and it needs to move slower somehow so one actually sees what that thing is that’s flashing through the air.

The bow looks over-stylized for my taste, but it is pretty to look at. And probably better looking than most other legendaries. I think overall, its a good addition. Even if I personally don’t want it.

- Footfall effects definitely aren’t noticeable enough.

The footfalls are more noticeable than Nevermore’s. It is one thing that seems to be a theme with the new two handed legendaries if these two are any indication. Astralaria and H.O.P.E don’t seem to have this problem.

It’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Tastes vary. To me the bow looks extremely tacky. Certainly it’s not something my elegant nobleman Thief would haul about. I have him using Gallant Not that he IC’ly uses a shortbow anyway, swords and daggers are his thing, and now quarterstaff.

Why does it look tacky to me? It’s big and clunky. The brass/gold and red hues are gaudy and just “dirty” enough to look like a cheap souvenir, something you’d buy in a junky tourist shop, like those “katanas” with glass gems in cheaply painted plastic hilts. The tigers don’t have any detailing as to stripes. I would have preferred something with much smaller limbs that looks like something you could bend (which is how bows work). Snarling tiger heads at the nocks at either end, with engraved detail. Gold limbs, sure, engrave in darker stripings to look tigery. Let some ribbons (pairs of ribbons?) flutter from the ends, maybe inlay some tiger teeth at the riser and/or use them as the rest. Then glitz it up with a red aura, perhaps a swirling red mist that forms a snarling maw.

I do like the tigers it shoots, though others have said they come out too fast to see and I agree that is a problem. In the one video I’ve seen of it in action I couldn’t make out the footprints real well but they didn’t look like glowing tiger paw prints which would have been the obvious choice for me.

It’s rather a relief that this weapon doesn’t match my personal aesthetics, though. I can save my resources for other things. I look forward to seeing others using it and hope they enjoy it. Heck, I’d likely do the first easy part of the collection just to see this tiger hunt people are saying is so fun but right now I’d rather put the 5 gold needed towards amalgamated gemstones

As a part-time 3D animator, modeler, and printer, I am surprised but don’t blame them for not being able to rouse up something better in the given time. I guess their team is really small. I assume it was the special effects and wrestling with the game engine that were the major time sinks. It is a bit frustrating that I can’t simply whip up a model to use in game myself. Admittedly, I’d probably make it not low poly enough to run on gw2 and add way too much cloth physics or unique animations to it.

Gotta agree with Ardid.7203, if you want to make it unique and you are naming it after Indian man-eating tigers, go with an Indian style! It would fit with the whole jungle theme anyway. Honestly many of these new skins really feel like they’re being made by the same guy with the same style. Also, waaay too chunky, like the worst kind of baroque. The latest Spectral Weapons, are so much better done. Even Tigris looks slightly better, sleek and deadly, not counting the sweet special effects of course.

If they’re having trouble coming up with ideas for weapon sets, they could always just poll a few by us, no? I don’t know about you, but it is easy for me to tell if something will be popular as outsider, but hard to tell if it will be unpopular while I’m making it.

Gotta give props for the tiger hunt and everything though, feels like a more legendary journey for sure compared to the original legendaries, though legendarily grindy as well. And in general, even if mediocre and I’ll never touch the content, it’s nice to have new stuff.

I still prefer Kudzu in general for bows, but I do like the tiger theme as an option. It def helps some people considering the other legendary short bow is Dreamer.
The baby tigers are utterly adorable though.

Yeah I have to admit that I was liking the quest up until I got stuck at the harpy event and it was bugged – and it’s been bugged all day long every time I check. Same map, no change.

We’ve had this issue before with other precursor journeys. Like seriously nobody learned anything from that in the past 6 months. Didn’t bother to check if these events were working properly – just nothing.

And it’s not as if the legendary journey HAS to go to these areas, you could use any other event that works most of the time to attach the quest to. So why choose two events that have been notorious for YEARS that they bug out basically all the time?

I hate to say it but it feels like the legendary team just didn’t care about what they were working on; and I honestly see why future legendaries were cancelled.

Or perhaps someone on the legendary team has been harping about these events for years and was ignored so as a sign of protest attached the legendary shortbow to them to bring attention to the issue so they get fixed. That’s me thinking positively about things. The only other option is they just didn’t care.

I just finished Chuka, and i think it looks awesome. The flame animations look like fiery wheels when you run. It is the perfect weapon for my female norn condi ranger.

Hello, I realise there is a feedback topic already and if you belive this needs to be merged then that’s fine.

My main problem with this new Legendary is it’s size. Look at other bows. This one might not be the biggest but it’s far from short. It’s a longbow. I really want to like it, it’s animations and special effects are cool but it’s simply to LONG.

This is a legendary weapon not some random drop.

I finally got through the second collection and just finished the third. I was excited to get onto the fourth but when i saw what is needed to make Tigris i was disgusted. Really disgusted. I have made Nevermore and Hope and when it comes to making the ascended precursor neither of these required this many ascended mats nor did they require ascended inscriptions. To say it needs more than the one handed Prototype is fine, but even when you look at the mats required for The Raven Staff it doesn’t even compare.

In case you want to know what i mean here is the ascended breakdown for each of the ascended precursors.
Raven Staff – 10 Spiritwood and 3 Deldrimor
Prototype – 10 Deldrimor

Tigris – Inscriptions need 6 Spiritwood and 6 Deldrimor, plus 5 Elonian and 4 more Deldrimor and 5 Spirtwood

This is just my 2 cents, but i really do find it disgusting they made this bow need over twice as much ascended material as both of the other’s.

And before i get flamed, yes i understand i don’t have to make it and it’s my choice. I get that. I just dont understand how they could make this process more expensive than it already was. Why not keep this ascended pre in line with the others. Why is it different?

The journal entries for this bow have been amazing, so much thought went into them. But to have this be completely different to the others makes no sense.
Again this is just my feedback

Second thing, I like how elegant the bow is but it’s slightly too big for a shortbow.
