Hello everyone, I require some asistance to find my path in GW2, I have a level 80 Thief but I don’t really know what to do, before HoT I used to play Story missions, explore stuff and etc. But after HoT (which I can’t buy) I fell down into an abyss, I’ve finished exploration, can’t do anymore stories cause I lack HoT, I wasn’t used to doing dungeons or fractals anyways, I kinda suck at PvP and WvW so I just log in everyday to get daily rewards, mine ores in home instance and log and cry myself out.

HoT is still available. Save your money up, and stop crying over video games and play them instead.

You said you had a level 80 thief but didn’t mention any others.

Have you tried playing other professions? If not that could be an option. Make a new character with a different profession. If you also make them a different race you’ll get a totally different story at levels 1-30 and can make choices to make it different through most of the rest.

HoT is friggin awesome. I love HoT, you need to buy it asap. Buying it asap does not mean skip a rent payment or a couple meals though..perspective..
I’m wealthy so this is like tossing pennies around. I used to not be wealthy too.. those times were rough.

There a way to save up to 30% on price if it matters at all (not sure what exactly u want HoT for tho, if pve content bores u to tears and u seem to suck at PvP and WvW as u say u do).

PS u mention u do dailies a lot how many laurels and mystic coins u have saved up? Any long term plans at all

I could have sworn there was a Legendary suggestion that you found pleasing. Oh, well, probably just old age.

Regardless, there’s that as a long-term goal.

Achievements. Use that as a general guide around GW2.

Although players dislike Achievements, they need to understand that achieves cover literally everything in GW2. Legendaries, Story quests, Silverwastes, Fractals, PvP, WvW, raids, HoT, exploration, collections, just about everything in GW2.

Buy Hot on eBay for less than 30 bucks. Just eat ramen noodles for a week. You’ll be fine, its only a week, and you’ll have all this new content to forget the stomach grumblings.

Without making any assumptions, why can’t you buy HoT? Is it the purchase price or are there other factors involved such as hardware or physical location?

Sounds like you need some goals

Try out the treasure hunter achievment- it points you towards all the meta events in all the maps. You may think you know the maps because you’ve completed it, but there’s always an event you haven’t seen yet.

Play dress-up. Go to the wardrobe (found at banks and crafting stations) and toy around with all the lovely trenchcoats, backpacks and weapons! Then wiki the parts and try to complete your look. (Gemstore weapons are usually on TP)

Go for full exotic gear. If you are full exo, go for ascended. If you are, maybe try out some new specs.

Solve all the jumping puzzles.

Get a friend who is a mesmer to help you solve all the jumping puzzles. Or just get a friend who can res you when you fall down.

Get a guild. It’s not only handy for ascended trinkets, but you also have friends now! If you don’t know what to do, ask if you can join any of them. Do stuff together!

If you care about prestige, go for a legendary.

You also have at least one extra character slot. Maybe try a new class! Maybe some contrast to thief, like necro or guardian or ranger. If you like the fashion aspect, pick light or heavy armor for more variance. Pick a different race and a different order for maximum new story.
