Anet…This is more a comment than a question. I got to see her at San Diego Comic Con today for a signing and was able to ask her a question. The question was if she was going to reprise her voice role of Zojja. She indicates that she hasn’t gotten a call yet for that. She’s indicated that she would love to do Zojja again. So…she’s waiting for a call….

Kit Harington swore up and down on a hundred talk shows he wasn’t doing the show anymore. Sometimes people just can’t (or don’t want to) talk about their roles.

That is interesting. I’d had the impression that a large part of the reason Zojja tends to get put on a bus a lot is that she has a busy schedule and is hard to get to fit in, but that suggests it isn’t the case. It would be nice to see her further development, even if it is just to finally send her off – particularly since Logan is up and about again.

To those who think Scarlet hate means she’s succeeded as a villain:
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

It could be all of the above. Felicia Day, besides being an actor and performer (not always the same thing) is a gifted self-promoter, something required of actors & performers who aren’t lucky enough to fall into a great job. It is simply good marketing on her part to say she’s looking forward to X when meeting a fan of X, rather than saying, “oh, jeeze, I offered to work for half my going rate and they said that was outside their budget.”

That would make her truthful about waiting for a call, even if she doesn’t expect it due to no longer being affordable.

They don’t need to voice Zojja when there is no Zojja. Let that sink in

We still need to know how Zojja is doing after the events of Maguuma. We haven’t heard from her and based on Logan’s recovery, his rescue was canon.

I am not a huge fan of Zojja but now that we haven’t been in touch with her ever since HoT kinda scares me, she was after all one of the main characters. I prefer the older heroes than these stupid newer heroes we got today. Urghh..

Perhaps create one of those ’’Currently Events’’ as you did with the Pale Tree, that was so wonderful thing and something extra for us, specially Sylvari players to see their mother is recovering well.

It’s sucks to hear that the VA haven’t got anything new from GW2, which means no Zojja for a while...
Kill Zojja off already instead of making us suffer like this.

I think you hit it right on the money.

As for how to handle Zojja, I understand that voice acting is important and Felicia is a very recognizable voice, but I personally would rather they get a new voice actor for Zojja rather than never see her again because they can’t get Felicia for whatever reason.

I’d hate for actor availability to drive content. Luckily, there’s already a story reason for Zojja to undergo a change of voice (and change of personality): she was eaten by a plant.

It’s not like they haven’t changed voice actors for roles in the game before….

It was a bit jarring for the male Charr PC, but the sound team did a very believable job sometime after the first episode or two the switch was made. I was pretty impressed.

Now if they would fix the writing, dialog options, and let me punch Braham in the face, that’d mean a bit more. >.>

They replaced Zojja tho with a very charismatic and much loved, if not most loved, character who’s name i don’t remember….LOL

Zojja doesnt have any plot points anymore. The old party is gone pretty much. The ones still around are on the chopping block now…so the more screentime they get the more likely they will end up like wounded logan or worse….dot dot.

The asuran arc is about the little asuran girl and her mentor arguing all teh friggin time. There isn’t any need to add a new progenitor or whatever like zojja when u alrdy have one in the mix.

I didn’t really care much for zojja to begin with. I love felicia day, but I find zojja’s character in and of itself is just really generic and bland….doesn’t give the actor any room to work with really.

Nowhere as jarring as the charr NPC that repairs the wall in Silverwastes …

Phlunt is not Taimi’s mentor.

“Thanks for pitching in!”

And no, I think Zojia is actually Taimi’s mentor or at least has some interest in Taimi. Had? Who knows how mixed up her brain is after her time in the jungle.

If they aren’t writing us Zojia stuff due to issues retaining Felicia Day, then a new voice actor might well work given her time in the pods. If they aren’t writing it because of their policy of giving fast easily digested story highlights rather than all the filigree and complexity of a braided novel, with major plot points hitting the cutting room floor (Malyck says hi, or would if he ever showed up again), then it sounds like Day would be happy to do the work if offered.

And who knows, maybe we’ll see Zojia tomorrow. “Emotional catharsis” can mean so many different things (including just that it was an amusing inclusion in the silly doctor’s note and not predicated on expected reactions at all).
