I switched my female warrior to male just because I liked how he wielded GS better. Couple days later I switched because they have the worst longbow auto-attack animation in the world and how they pick up items on the ground! Ugly…
I actually like the GS walk animation on a female character more than my male char’s lol.
With that being said, animation wise, everything is perfectly fine atm.

Make a female Asura. Their Greatsword stances make it look like their about to cause some massive hurt.
male GS stance is actually…wrong.
female low-guard is correct.
my main issue is the last upswing on human female GS…looks really like she’s just tossing it up with no power at all. If you guys wanted to make it an upswing, make it a solid blow.
2nd issue, why does a male with fire greatsword conjure get the 100b animation and females only get single repeated upswing animation?

the way female humans hold the GS is correct and preferred. Male humans hold it in the air and it might look “cool” to some people but its actually kittened and is a horrible stance for combat
Speaking of realism, the greatswords in this game are huge. A piece of metal weighing 150 + pounds just impossable to keep on weight, so as do the male characters in this game. Therefore much more likely to argue that men are too strong, but not women are not strong enough.
Actually the avg. weight of a great sword is around 5-7 lbs.
As to the OPs question, nah, I like how they look holding them. I don’t think it makes them look weak at all they look pretty awesome in that pose to me.
I have 3 toons that are female greatsword users and i love how they wield them, so im happy with it as it is…
Male warrior greatsword stance = high guard
Female warrior greatsword stancr = low guard
My issue isnt with how female humans/sylvari wield/run with them, it’s how they swing them. Fortunately, the female Norn greatsword animations are vicious and awesome. I’d be a happy camper if humans and sylvari were the same, but I also know that some people dig them.
What if we had the option to choose :p?

I love the female stance. When I was modding Morrowind a while back I used a similar animation so it clicks just right with me.
Those are all fine examples of real world two handed swords but the great swords in this game aren’t 4-4.5 feet long with 2-3 inch wide blades but 5-6 feet long with some blades 9-12 inches across like swords seen in FF series

On original topic: I wonder if it were possible to make it either a) player preference or b) sometimes one stance and other times the other?
