Fewer Content Releases, Please.
Dragonbrand
2 weeks seem fine as long as they are mostly more and more content that is perm and not too easily forgettable, in fact it should ALL be very memorable and have meaning. Not just “oh here’s some more ways for you to gain some easy AP, go run around in circles checking off this list”
Even small little things added here and there perm would be a good thing. An example could be adding new mobs in old maps. Give us some variety here and there, I am sure MANY people are sick of seeing the same old mobs in pretty much every map just with different levels and skills. I mean who is not sick of wolves, spiders and such featuring in pretty much every map by now? One new mob here and there with new combat mechanics would be very welcome. Heck even just rework some of the old ones as well. Seriously, do ALL spiders have to spam poison/cripple for example?

I would rather have them slow down a bit on the releases, work on letting some more of it be permanent, and less “repeat X for achievements”.
Tower of Nightmares and its assorted trilogy was actually best form of that for me.
We’ve been enjoying new content every other week, a true milestone for MMOs. As a player who arrived on the scene shortly after the game was released, I didn’t pay much attention to the Living Story releases when they came out (was Flame and Frost the first?) When I finally did get into the Living Story, I realized it was a quick achievement grind that may or may not have lasting consequences. Permanent rewards (nodes in the home instance) are something, but most of the missed rewards are inconsequential.
There’s no doubt that ANet developers are very savvy. We’ve seen what they are capable with a two week deadline, and I don’t mean that in a derogatory way. Instead of rapid releasing disposable content, I would be much more excited about fewer patches that are more substantive.
Once a month, maybe?
They have 4 small teams dedicated to Living Story. One team takes roughly 4 months to make a living story update. They don’t just make it in 2 weeks. It’s just that as soon as a team is done with one, they start working working on the next one that they will do.
Note, these are not the only teams working on content for the game by any means. There are other groups working on more long term content.

Well tbh I’m finding myself playing less now, maybe that’s due to the fact I have world complete on all chars now. But still need variety in ways to play the game and variety in content is not a bad thing. Sure I agree just adding new story elements over and over where 99% of said content is gone a week later to me seems like a waste too.
I don’t think it’s a matter of them not having enough people or time to create more perm/quality content. Maybe it’s just ideas they need or to take bigger risks?
Waiting 2 weeks or two months for temp content is still waiting for temp content.
Getting bigger and better content that still evaporates weeks later is just going to make it sting that much more when I have to go back to the same old junk we have had since launch. The Zephyr colony was a great example of this. New area, new lore, new visual aesthetic (closest to Cantha/Asian themes we have gotten yet) and new platforming goals rather than “kill 50 rats” achievements and then it all just went away and we have no idea if we will ever see any of it again.
It’s already a pain to wait a month just to get some tool tip updates. They will need to really step it up to make it worth waiting a month or more in between content.

You’ll note I said I’d prefer it if more was permanently left behind.
Temporary content doesn’t bother me so much if it’s decent and on a timeframe I can handle at a slower pace than “cram time to complete stuff”.
