Finally! Fortran support!
“Mystic Forge
- Added toilet-flushing sound effect on use of the Mystic Forge."
This one is even better
No this one:
“Fixed a bug that allowed warriors to get kills in Ranked PvP.”
tops them all.
I’m only happy if it is Fortran 66. The modern stuff is far too new.
Finally! Fortran support. Been waiting for this for ageeeeees!!!
Also, glad you fixed the ascended box bug in Fractals. It has never affected me but I’ve seen a few fellow team mates get hit with it a couple of times.
Now I can finally use what I learned in computer lab in 1991! Joy!

My first thought at seeing the Fortran and Cobol support was: How many players will even understand this. Then I realised that probably at least 20% of the GW2 players are even older than I am. Because when I learned to program Fortran and Cobol were already outdated and a knowledge of it seemed a waste of time. But then we got the millennium and the introduction of the Euro and Cobol and Fortran where in high demand again (for a short time at least). Those good old times

That Fortran reference was one of my two faves. The other:
- Due to the chaotic nature of magic, bloodstone dust no longer stacks.
Even knowing it was a joke, I mentally cried “aaaaiiiiyeeeeeee” when I saw it.

Mmm.. I learned COBOL in the 10th grade wayy back in ’79… might have to brush up on that. Question though, will you be adding keypunch machines and readers to the gem-store?

Even worse if it was set to be an important item that requires you to type “Pile of Bloodstone Dust” in the box to delete for each.
Nothing wrong with Fortran. A lot of supercomputer apps are still written in Fortran, simply easier to generate massively parallel code.
RIP City of Heroes
Glad to hear that Fortran, and COBOL clients are getting released. I’ll go power up my mainframe to try them out. How many punch cards is the client?
BTW, I’m eagerly looking forward to future support for Algol, Pascal and BASIC.
BASIC is the only one I ever learned so they’d better add that one in. I’ve heard about all the sweet loot you can get if you know how to hack the game and BASIC is frankly my only chance to do so.
Heck, I could dust off my old mix and match fashion program I wrote in BASIC in 8th grade and cure the armor weight combination problem for ANet!
