Finally made my Legendary - The Juggernaut
Congrats, what effect does the hammer have?
Thanks you very much guys
Effects:
- Drawing the weapon causes the player to be covered in liquid metal. The color of the metal changes with the dye on the player’s armor.
- Running down its spine is a thermometer shaped tube containing the Vial of Quicksilver used to craft it. The quicksilver shifts in response to the player’s swings
- Swinging the weapon causes it to spill and splash quicksilver.
It looks awesome. Congratulations
Just out of curiosity, how much gold did it take to obtain this, and of that amount, how much was provided by others?
Edit: and congrats, it looks amazing

I did borrow about 28g (was unpatient :P) at the end but I did farm or collect all the material myself. Cant tell you the exact price because I collected a lot of material instead of buying it.
And to by honest I dont count the gold it costed but the time I put in But ye It was worth it, for me atleast.
Congrats, extremely jealous right now : P

So about 28 gold and a few months farming? So why are there all these other posts about hundreds of gold required? Not to diminish your achievement, but to me, right now and (quite likely) uninformed, it appears not to difficult to get?

I didnt say it costed me only 28 gold. I said I borrowed 28 gold and gained the rest by myself (about 400 gold) NOT including the material.
But anyways you need only 120 gold for recipes and icy stones, the rest is material that can be farmed/collected.

Ok. I’m just trying to get an idea of how much it would cost, to see if I could ever be bothered working towards one. So the barest minimum $ amount needed would be 120g, with all other item able to be obtained by farming, albeit over a few months?
Congrats!
It looks awesome and really suits your character
Nice reward for hard work and nice to see that time and effort can accomplish your goals.
Enjoy your beautiful new weapon.
Congrats for your legendary.
1200 hour in 3 month which is around 400 hours per month. If you work 8 hours per day, its only about 200 – 300 hours working time per month with a few thousand as salaries. I am not sure this legendary worth 10k+ or what but I am not going to get this if this is the time required for a legendary.

show us more pictures of the footprints and such
Here you go
@OnlyFate .. Did anyone said that Legendaries should be done in 3 months? If you dont have time to play 10+ hours a day you can still craft your legendary in half year or more. The Legendaries are supposed to be long term goal (like 1 year for avarage player)
I just sacrificed 3 months of my real life to gain it faster than it was supposed to take.
Its the same like when someone is sacrificing his hobbies/free time in order to work more and earn more money because he wants to buy something faster.
There are items (weapons, armors) in other mmorpgs that requires you to play even more to gain them, can go up to 3000-5000 hours played. So I dont find Legendaries in Guild Wars 2 that hard to craft.
The last thing I think about is converting the time spend in-game to real life money I could make instead. If I ever do this, I would never play MMORPGs in the first place.
It is just a matter of your decision and priorities
Thats all.
