Money can’t buy happiness, But it allows you to search in more places to find it !

Its so nice to finally see some color in the forums. By that I mean the splashes of red down the left hand side that show a Dev has commented on a post !
I appreciate you guys are very busy, none the less its great to gear from you. So…
ColinJohanson, AidanTaylor, JeffreyVaughn and CC Eva (personal thanks there)
WELL DONE GUYS and thanks.
Its really nice to see you actively posting/reading the forums and interacting with the player community.
Thanks
(PS, you couldnt give the other Devs a nudge, tell them to post more could you plz)
;)

Agreed.
While some of their posts are rather discouraging and/or make me worry about future content releases, it’s nice to at least see steps being taken towards a little more communication.
We’re not there yet. But this little step is still appreciated.
It is nice to see them posting but they aren’t not really saying much. Most of what they are saying is that the precursor scavenger hunt won’t be added in soon. They not addressing any concerns or informing us of what they will add.
If Ree Soesbee posted more in the forums, the respective threads would become endless as there is so much to talk about the lore!

Yes, but its a start. Hopefully we’ll see more posts, from other Devs too. Be nice to see some from the ordinary guys, not just team leaders etc
:)

You mean like the blog post due next week, which hasn’t been released yet because they’re waiting for the OK from testing?
As CriticKitten rightly said in another thread, if they go announcing something is in the works, people get impatient, and want it now. If for whatever reason they need to delay, people QQ, to hell with the reason.
I’m really amazed how fast yesterday they found out about the login issue on EU servers and fixed it. It made me realize that there’s hundreds of silent Anet workers lurking and actually reading what we post. Thank you guys
I think everyone kind of forgot that they were on vacation for the last few weeks. Thus why there was no communication for awhile….
Before that, they communicated just like they are now. Because they are back from vacation.
I am conflicted about this somewhat. It is nice to see a response but most times it comes with condescension tied to it.
Or it is to inform us they are going to make things worse via opportunities to make gold.
I have gotten to the point where I liked it over christmas there was nothing at all and it was nice. Now they say they are reworking rewards for open world all the time calling us liars and saying everything is fine and that it is only perception.
Except say bugs and stuff I prefer not to have any posts.
And honestly from what I have seen the posts have to do with side conversations and not with the actual OP as well especially in BLTC forum. There really is very little information provided anyways.
A few people I know share this opinion but I am sure it is a minority but I would prefer silence and just the odd blog post cause frankly every time they come on here it bugs me.
Heck they’ve always been part of the community I get atleast 2 or 3 PM’s everyday from them.
I haven’t really noticed an increase (maybe I’m just not seeing the right posts) but I think Arenanet’s overall communication has been the best I’ve seen from any MMO company, the second being Rift’s developers.
Sure we want some stuff (like the sPVP stuff I keep going on about) but they are really quite transparent about their plans and where they are atm.
I even just saw something on Reddit where they go into the technical side of the GW2 engine and all the programming aspects etc, very open and a really nice report by Arenanet’s actual programmers, the kind of guys you normally never hear from directly.
