Things like Breath of Kralkatorrik, Eternal Ice, Symbol of the Inquest, etc. that drop from the World Boss chests have two versions, both level 80: An exotic version, with all the stats you’d expect, and… a Fine version, with only one stat on it that seems pretty much worthless. Do the Fine versions have any redeeming value whatsoever? I mean, is there a Mystic Forge recipe involving them or something? Or are they just vendor trash?

Well the thing is, mid-high-level tiers are treated as dirt because you get a lot of them at end game. Heck, you can get a full set of exotic armor for just 1 gold via TP.

Rare (yellow) versions would mostly offer the chance of salvage for ectos.
